ok so i screenshotted this moment because i thought it was pretty cool

the first time we get to see all four elements working together for a common enemy, blah blah blah, but i started laughing because

sokka’s fucking boomerang. sokka threw a fucking boomerang at princess azula, renowned lightning bender and heir-apparent to the throne of the fire nation.

and sokka threw a boomerang at her.

I said it once and i say it again.

Azula considered Sokka to be the biggest threat in this group and countered him first. What this picture miss is Sokka sanding nearby. All members of this group unleash their attack at same time, but Azula reacts to boomerang first. If you watch this part in slow motion, you could see that Sokka’s boomerang was the first thing that would hit Azula and may even incapacitate her making her unable to continue to fight. So she had to counter in first. She deflected it with well placed shoot.

Then and only then, when there is no immediate threat, she starts to create her blue fire wall to counter other elements.

Lets think about this. How hard should you have to throw something to make it move faster that any elemental attack? Either all elemental attacks are slow or you are pretty strong. That said nonbenders with good aim and strong hands could easily overpower benders if they timed it right.(Aang got captured by Yuan archers who are all nonbenders.) Azula knew of this and acted according to it. She is talented bender and you may think that she should enlist other benders to help her track and capture Zuko, Iroh, and later avatar, but instead she uses her nonbender friend to help her.

Even if you have no bending you can still fight… and win.

Let’s not forget that on the Day of Black Sun, Sokka was the one in charge and Azula was no idiot Azula knew that.

When Aang, Sokka, and Toph all confronted Azula, she proceeded to make them chase her and waste their time. Azula is not only talented, she’s sly and smart as hell. WHO WAS THE ONE WHO SAW THROUGH THAT BS CHASE?

Sokka.

NOT ONLY THAT but after Sokka explains to the Gaang that Azula is just baiting them, Azula actually verbally attacks Sokka. Not through fighting, but through words, knowing not only that an intelligent person like him could only be brought down with emotions BUT that Sokka was the leader and if she could get him the stay, Aang and Toph would follow his lead.

Azula knew Sokka was their strength and took him down. WOULD SHE DO THAT IF HE WASNT A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO HER!!??!

No. She wouldn’t waste her time and energy on someone she didn’t think was capable of actually getting in her way.

WHEN SHE GETS HER FIREBENDING BACK SHE HAS THE OPTION OF ATTACKING BADASS METAL BENDING TOPH AND THE FUCKING AVATAR WHO DOES SHE ATTACK?!?!

Azula never underestimated the power of non benders especially an intelligent one like Sokka. Sokka was a huge threat to fucking Azula on multiple occasions.

Evil, classic villain who wants take control over everything and everyone, maybe could kill anyone who's against him, even his own soldiers. Sadistic. Only cares about Soundwave probably.

🖤 My Megatron:

He's an old man, maybe senile. He's just desperated he can't win any battle. He PROTECTS Soundwave and sees them as a younger sibling. Still threats his soldiers but couldn't kill them. Goofy villain. Has a weird love-hate relationship with Optimus.

Canon Starscream:

Treacherous, backstabbing bot who doesn't care of anyone but himself. The Decepticons don't care about him and could get rid of him if they could. Wow no one likes him. Manipulative.

❤️ My Starscream:

Is also treacherous, but cares about the other seekers (not that much, but he does). A diva, heck yeah. Really smart but the other Cons don't wanna admit it. He misses Skyfire :(

Canon Soundwave:

Cold. No feels, just a monotone voice. A literal robot. Just cares about the cassettes because it's their work. Maybe the same for Megatron. Acts by convenience.

💙 My Soundwave:

The (literal) mom friend. Cares about the other Cons a lot. Stress and anxiety in the same proportions. Allergies and terrible sight, yikes. Can change their voice as much as they want. Loves their family and could die for them. Loyal to their team and basically the only one who keeps it working.

Canon Shockwave:

Dude this man doesn't have personality hshsha. Loyal by convenience. Responsable maybe? Cuestionable morality.

A cute nerd. He worries a lot, too. Loves Soundwave. Cares about his family and his planet. Has difficulties to express himself. Also responsable. Curious. Mades terrible jokes.

This Shockwave is kind of a dumbass, but not completely. He thinks that female autobots aren’t a thing (I know that’s because of Cybertronian biology and stuff but that sentiment fuckin kills me every time) and I don’t think he has successfully defended the space bridge/Cybertron once ever. The closest he got was the incident with the dinobots, and even then he got outwitted by Spike and Carla. He also apparently just stopped all technological advancement so that he could just keep trying to call Megatron over and over again for 4 million years?? Ya gotta move on, bro.

2. IDW Shockwave

0/10

This Shockwave is many things, but a dumbass is not one of them.

3. Animated Shockwave

8/10

I love this man but god is he a dumbass. How he managed to stay undercover so long is beyond me. I guess sometimes it’s not about you being smarter than your enemies but your enemies being dumber than you? Special mentions goes to blowing his cover to Bumblebee for no discernible reason, not making Megatron leave the fucking room when he’s trying to trick Arcee into giving them intel, and finally, the intensely awkward attempts by Longarm Prime to try and stop communication with earth.

4. Prime Shockwave

He has some dumbass moments- for example, the whole “Let’s make dragon dinosaurs!!” thing, but overall I’d say he’s too scary to be a dumbass.

5. Cyberverse Shockwave

This man terrifies me, but he is also a dumbass. Especially in his really weird false memory thing for Bumblebee. He was at peak dumbass in that episode. Other notable mentions include his extremely obvious rivalry and joint attempted sabotage with Soundwave. He still gives me stranger danger vibes though.

The Outbursts of Everett True was a comic strip that ran in papers from 1905 to 1927, wherein the aforementioned Everett True regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude. Men have not only been taking up too much room on public transport for about as long as public transport has existed, but the people around them have been irritated about it for at least a hundred years. The next time someone tries to claim that manspreading is a false phenomenon, please direct them to this strip so that Everett True can correct their misconceptions with an umbrella upside the head.

I have never before heard of Everett True, but if he “regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude,” I have a strong spiritual connection with him.

Freshly baked bread, the thrill of being alive, badly timed innuendos, sunglasses indoors, eyes like steal and heart like the sun, talking too fast to keep up, overflowing emotions, shoulders straight and chin up

“Imperio, I control…”

The feeling of sleep weighing his mind down. His body bending to commands. Horror at what he was about to do. He couldn’t s t o p.

“Crucio, I torture…”

Swords piercing his body. Every nerve ending, every synapse was on f i r e. His sanity slipping away like sand through his fingers.

“Avada Kedavra, let the thing be destroyed.”

Standing in the forest. Waiting. Preparing. The tip of a wand pointing his direction. Eyes closing. Green light exploding behind his eyelids. F e a r.

“The Three Unforgivable Curses.” He murmured, forcing down his nausea.

Tom nodded excitedly. “Yes. Fascinating, don’t you agree?”

Harry Potter didn’t answer, instead he closed his book and rose from the library chair, murmuring a quick excuse.

Adrenalin was rushing through his veins. He was tricked. Sirius wasn’t held captive.

Distinctly he heard the sound of another chair scraping over the floor as he hurried past numerous bookshelves and practically dived out into the hallway.

Avada Kedavra. After Sirius had fallen through the veil he wasn’t even aware that it was him who was screaming. He never knew his vocal cords were able to produce such an awful sound.

His chest constricted and he stumbled against a cold wall halfway down the third corridor, slowly sinking to the floor while desperately trying to fight the onslaught of the panic attack.

Confusion. The Triwizard Cup should have brought them straight back to the entrance of the maze. But it hadn’t. Too late he screamed a warning at the boy. Avada Kedavra. Cedric Diggory hit the ground with a gut wrenching thud.

A part of him registered the hands that clasped his shoulders and the calm voice calling his name, telling him to breathe.

He couldn’t. Wasn’t even sure he wanted to. The pain in his lungs was better than the screams piercing his mind or the stench of blood and death filling his nose.

Everyone was dying. He couldn’t stop it. He couldn’t save them. Fred was dead. Lupin was dead. Everyone was-

“Harry Potter!” The exclamation was followed by a stinging pain in his cheek and automatically he sucked in a breath, blinking slowly.

Light blue-grey eyes stared at him intently, a frown etched onto pale features. “Can you hear me?”

Harry nodded, taking another, shuddering breath.

Tom sighed in relief before his expression darkened. “What was that about?”

The Boy-Who-Lived swallowed before plastering a crooked smile on his face. “N-nothing, really. I just sort of hyperventilated when I remembered that I haven’t yet finished the essay from-”

“Please don’t try to insult my intelligence, Potter. We finished that essay together yesterday.”

Oh. Right.

“And besides, you don’t exactly strike me as someone who would have a panic attack over something as trivial as that.”

Well, shit.

“Look, I-”

“Who did it?”

“What?”

The grip on his shoulders tightened to the point that it bordered on uncomfortable and cold fury shone in Riddle’s eyes. “Only someone who was subjected to those curses would have such a strong reaction to them. So who did it!?”

You did.

Harry shook his head tiredly before getting back to his feet rather unsteadily. “It doesn’t matter. There was a war. Those things happen. It’s in the… past.“

Tom’s scowl deepened. His eyes glinting murderously. But somehow he didn’t think that the Slytherin’s anger was directed at him.

The grip on his shoulders tightened just a fraction before sliding down and back to his sides, his expression smoothing over until the only indication of his fury was the way he clenched his jaw.

“Alright. I won’t push the matter.” He said eventually and Harry sighed in relief, only for the air to get stuck in his throat a second later. “But…”

Here it comes.

“I promise you that the person responsible is going to pay. They will beg for death and shall not receive it until I’ve broken their every bone and shredded absolutely every ounce of their sanity. Nobody touches that which belongs to me.”

How very ironic.

Oh yes. There was definitely a time when he wished for that.

But now?

There was suddenly a heavy weight on Harry’s chest and he grimaced.

Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, didn’t wish to kill Tom Riddle, Dark-Lord-in-Training, anymore. The would-be murderer of his parents, his friends, and himself.

And it made him absolutely sick.
