I went into drawing this thinking it would be really funny but I think it's actually one of the scarier things I've drawn
Jerma is the kind of guy to accidentally hit himself in the face by stepping on a rake, only to stumble back a few feet and do the exact same thing with another rake
taylor swift: she was the piss on the carpet / I was the floor's poo / she would always be his number one / while I was the number two / little did we know / he would flush us both
white women who have lizzo blocked on twitter: I'm SOBBINHG. the METAPHORS. did she know she would define a generation with this? 😭😭😭

i think a lot about how in the past women/afab people disguised themselves as men and lived for years undetected (in all-male workplaces!!) because it really drives home the point that there is so much natural variation in human bodies that would enable somebody to believably do this. like not only is it natural for men to be very short but it’s also natural for them to have high voices, it’s natural for women to be tall, built, and masculine, and the fact that people in the past just rolled with it like “he has dainty hands and that’s none of my business” gives me some type of jealousy. people have gotten way too comfortable deciding what traits are normal for what sex. i think we all need to mind our business more.
Really feels like incels (and terfs) spend an awful lot of time building up schema of Men And Women as being so different that they are practically separate species, when compared to most other species our sexual dimorphism is so mild as to be almost completely eclipsed by individual variation. We are more alike than we are different, which sounds like a sappy platitude but is honestly just how humans work compared to, say, anglerfish.
I don't know; I kind of think that our culture is based around systematic denial of human limitations. I mean, there's the eight-hour work day (which is about 4 hours longer than most people are consistently able to remain productive); buffing your qualifications on job applications (which everyone needs to do to some extent, because everyone else is doing it); the expectation of multitasking, even though it's not really possible; academics are running around with impostor syndrome, ultimately because there's only so many books that an individual is capable of reading, while a bunch of liars and grifters pretend that they're experts at *everything* and are held up as thought leaders. Billionaires are held up as if they're just incredibly hard workers, photoshopped movie stars held up as if they're just incredibly beautiful. We feel guilty for not being something that never has and can never exist.
YOU must fix your heart (noone else can do it for you, it has to be you)
you MUST fix your heart (there is no other option, you cant carry on like this)
you must FIX your heart (the joy and light is already inside you, it's just wounded)
you must fix YOUR heart (enough, look after yourself like you do others)
you must fix your HEART (get right to the core of yourself, thats what needs care)

For reference, the federal minimum wage would have you earning roughly on average $1,256.66 a month
It’s recommended your rent only be 30% of your total budget, so with an average monthly rent of $1,827 that would mean your average renter’s monthly income should ideally be $6,090
That would be roughly $35.13 hourly or $73,080 annually
However, the average renter’s household income is only $42,500 annually or $20.43 hourly (as of 2019 according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey)
This means either rent prices are too unsustainably high and price gouging or wages are too unsustainably low and predatory
Or both
(Hint: it’s both)
