!!!!!!! everybody that worked on this should be fired, I want to tear my eyeballs out just reading this, this is terrible, who thinks like this, you know what, we should all look like barbie and if you don't look like her I will call you a racial slur, The Lord works in mysterious ways but He is definitely doing work by putting all writers out of business

This is why no one takes anti-gun people seriously. Thanks though, I always applaud you guys for consistently playing yourselves.
Will it ever stop
@libertybill it won’t stop.
The solution isn’t to wish for it to end, it’s to do it better than they do.
Reminder that, as the Battle of Hogwarts was happening, the Death Eaters were in control of the government. Dolores Umbridge was never a Death Eater. She was just a Ministry official doing her job.
It’s like they forgot the plot of the 5th book was “the government won’t protect us or teach us how to defend ourselves, so we’ll form a literal militia and train ourselves to be prepared against people who intend us harm”.
Fast forward 1 year when the Death Eaters sneak into the school, and it’s noted that just about all the kids to attended Harry’s DADA class were handling themselves.
white people will see a menu and order from it
So true 💯💯
Once at my last job my coworkers decided to do a group delivery for lunch. And I was in a foul mood and I'd never eaten from this particular chinese restaurant so I just clicked sesame chicken, whatever. And then I found out that my other three white coworkers were ALL ALSO GETTING SESAME CHICKEN and it made me so angry and I demanded to change my order before they clicked send and they were mad at me and I was like we are not ordering 4 containers of sugar chicken! It's disgraceful!
have you ever considered that maybe sesame chicken is just good and sometimes people just all have the same taste in food?
The United States has a meat consumption problem. If you look at the most popular and "palatable" Americanized dish from any ethnic food tradition you're going to find the one that is primarily about seasoned meat. No "weird" vegetables allowed! And any vegetables that are present must be easy to treat like a garnish, something just there to provide some color. It isn't just embarrassing from a culinary point of view, it's also an extremely privileged attitude from an economic and environmental point of view.
I was embarrassed of my lazy choice, and when we were all collectively making the same lazy choice it didn't make me feel better about my choice it made me feel worse. It is absolutely a me problem; I am part of the problem and I am ashamed.
good God it's sesame chicken from Lucky Bamboo China House who gives a shit
Fellas, it is white privileged and americanized to eat chicken??
Yes it is quite a privilege to live in a time and place of such historically unheard of prosperity that we can put more of the best part of food in our food
Can you imagine getting angry at what other people eat?
Also...blaming this on white people? I'm black and my family will all order the orange chicken while I get Chow ho fun. They arent getting the Aloo Chat and Hariyali Tikka from the local Indian restaurant. Theyre getting chicken curry and naan.
Even other Asians. I think almost 9 years in Japan gives me enough experience around Asians to say that even in Japan, Fried chicken is kinda the go-to. And Japanese people at non-Japanese resraurants? The same as Americans. (Also dont get me started on nom-americans ordering at American restaurants).
This is just a human thing, not a white people thing. Stop blaming everything you deem bad on white people. It's lazy and racist.

The whole point of Dumbledore’s Army was that a government stooge was denying Harry and friends the ability to train in self defense and so they studied it in secret.
The correct Potter analogy is:
Sorry, hoplophobes, you’re the bad guys. I don’t make the rules.
Shit like this is the result of the glorification of pedo killers and vigilante justice in general
I still to this day have to convince people that false accusations and demanding punishment without evidence is bad.
It always amuses me how these people only have an issue with automation when it directly affects them.
That seems like an unfounded assumption.
Also, there are imagesets trained on stock photo sites, which are modified to compensate the OG photographers and artists. I’m not sure how that is supposed to work.
I mean…factory workers did exactly this when machines were taking their job.
I think that’s what John Henry was all about.
Even like digital art programs stealing colors from producers. A producer made a specific shade of color and it could be replicated easily (even copied directly) using a computer program. Then used in art without permission or compensation.
Also…just pirating media. Regardless of the writers strike is successful or not, pirating films and shows (and even video games) is stealing money they would have made. Their art.
I would have more respect for these stances if we were being more consistent.
It's very important that everyone understands the sex trafficking and child abuse problem wasn't a one-off thing. It wasn't just Epstein and Maxwell. It wasn't just a few operations that got busted up. It's a massive, globe-spanning problem that involves celebrities, politicians, and the wealthiest people in the world.
They are desperate for you to believe it's just a totally unexpected revelation that the psychopaths they've endorsed and traveled the world with and funded for decades were just coincidentally running a secret human trafficking racket on the side the entire time.
Doctors in medical dramas when the first treatment doesn't work: "Oh no! The mystery abounds! We must do intensive tests, study, and think outside the box to find a solution!"
Doctors IRL when the first treatment doesn't work: "Yeah I'm just gonna keep doing this until it starts working or you die. You will be charged for either btw."
Same with cop shows
Firemen are one of the only professions that will genuinely risk everything to save a person and do not need to be dramatized.
OUR FUCKING RIBS ARE TARGETS NOW??
this is so evil
OP is a fascist and honestly this post highlights that. This isn't a normal attitude to have towards porn or food or shit you enjoy actually, but fash are obsessed with this notion of cutting out all frivolity and sexuality (outside of heterosexual sex) and replacing it with body building & turning themselves into soldiers for their Nazi revolution
I mean... it’s possible to have an unhealthy relationship with porn, it’s possible to have a bad diet (e.g. constantly eating junk food), it’s possible to spend a lot of your time doing frivolous shit and know that you would feel better doing something else but lack the motivation or access to do that something else. It’s possible to then be aware of those things and wish to change them without being a fascist or a Nazi.
This is just such a bizarre response to a harmless post I seriously don’t get it
that’s because you’re responding to someone with brain disease. this person is 30 years old and still doesn’t know who or what they are, yet knows exactly who I am based on... funny pictures online. this idiot literally thinks that self improvement is a nazi dogwhistle so I can only imagine how they live.
Take care of yourselves guys
SCOTUS is on the shittiest roll this week. Affirmative Action gone, you can reserve the right to refuse service to us dirty queers, and for some goddamn reason student loan forgiveness is "unconstitutional"
1. You can no longer be given college placement based on race alone. You have to actually have the grades to get into college. Holy shit how evil.
2. You cannot force someone to go against their religious beliefs. This is not some evil against The Gays. This is literally a religious protection. Go find an atheist baker or a progressive Christian who doesn't care, or a gay business owner or literally ANYONE AT ALL who actually wants to do business with you. You have plenty of options. Protections both for and against religion are as old as our Constitution. Holy shit, how evil.
3. You cannot force other tax payers to pay for your fucking college. Holy shit. How evil.
Fuck off.
Here at Tumblr, we’ve been working hard on reorganizing how we work in a bid to gain more users. A larger user base means a more sustainable company, and means we get to stick around and do this thing with you all a bit longer. What follows is the strategy we're using to accomplish the goal of user growth. The @labs group has published a bit already, but this is bigger. We’re publishing it publicly for the first time, in an effort to work more transparently with all of you in the Tumblr community. This strategy provides guidance amid limited resources, allowing our teams to focus on specific key areas to ensure Tumblr’s future.
In order for Tumblr to grow, we need to fix the core experience that makes Tumblr a useful place for users. The underlying problem is that Tumblr is not easy to use. Historically, we have expected users to curate their feeds and lean into curating their experience. But this expectation introduces friction to the user experience and only serves a small portion of our audience.
Tumblr’s competitive advantage lies in its unique content and vibrant communities. As the forerunner of internet culture, Tumblr encompasses a wide range of interests, such as entertainment, art, gaming, fandom, fashion, and music. People come to Tumblr to immerse themselves in this culture, making it essential for us to ensure a seamless connection between people and content.
To guarantee Tumblr’s continued success, we’ve got to prioritize fostering that seamless connection between people and content. This involves attracting and retaining new users and creators, nurturing their growth, and encouraging frequent engagement with the platform.
To enhance Tumblr’s usability, we must address these core guiding principles.
Below is a deep dive into each of these principles.
Staff this is my MAIN social media EXPLICITLY because of the CHRONOLOGICAL AND CURATED DASH
This is what happens when you hire twitter dreck. They bring their shitty algorithm with them. <_<
Fire them immediately 😭 we don't want them
“oh they’re not taking away chronological dashboard, well everything’s okay then” they also said in the post they’re making reblogs collapsed (like comments on twitter) so you won’t see the full conversation in a post. they also won’t get rid of tumblr live despite it being an annoying and cancerous data-miner that isn’t legal in much of the world. they won’t even let you opt out of tumblr live for more than seven days. they implemented a terrible photo viewer that mimics tiktok and makes it so you can’t zoom in on images. they took away the ability to view prev tags. they’re making it so you have to sign in with your email to view almost any thing on tumblr. they’ve already made it so you have to sign in to send asks, even on anon. they’re slowly phasing out custom blog themes.
the things that make tumblr at all usable and favored by us– the older web blog features, the anonymity– that is still being taken away. it HAS been being taken away for some time now. i am urging you people to reveiwbomb the tumblr app. force them to acknowledge that users do not like these changes.
Let me stress: Collapsing reblogs would turn tumblr into a completely different site.
A massive chunk of our site culture - arguably our entire site culture itself - is based on the collaborative nature of posts. The fact that many posts are chains of relevant additions or Bits done by multiple people is the appeal. This is not an “outdated format” or an inconvenience, it is a core function.
Also I can’t help but suspect that this partial walkback is misleading. Okay, so we still get to have a chronological dashboard, but are we going to be allowed to keep it as our default tab? Because new accounts sure fucking can’t set as such.
Youngest Marriage Age Allowed in the United States
by u/rubes___
Not that there aren’t serious fucking problems in the maroon states and Kansas, but there is a reason why only a few have it at 18: shotgun weddings. This is primarily because, when a kid gets his girlfriend pregnant, he is expected to immediately marry her, partly for the uniquely American Protestant religious reason of “it makes it less bad if you marry her right after once your family finds out”, and partly for the moral reason of “you’re not gonna leave her to raise your kid on her own.”
But all that’s involving kids who, thanks to both the age of consent laws and the romeo and juliet rule, are capable of giving consent at least with each other. Once you go below 16 that stops being a thing, and thus becomes endlessly exploitable by the worst of the worst. An even split between blue and red states, with no real geographical logic either.
“Having a child born out of wedlock shames the family, ruins the mother’s reputation, and condemns the child as a bastard, so if you’re pregnant you better get married” is neither uniquely American nor uniquely Protestant.
Non-Christians should not be allowed to touch Narnia or Tolkien/LOTR. Those were made for us and belong to us.
lol no
This post is about non-christians making adaptations of these stories and purposefully removing the religious aspects. Which akin to gutting them of all substance. A process in which Tolkien and Lewis would be very against.
Stories actually do 100% belong to certain faiths, cultures, etc. This doesn't mean people outside these groups cannot enjoy them or find value in them. But intentionally washing away that cultural or religious significance just communicates you have no respect for the story, the people who it belongs to, and that you never really liked the story to begin with
when internet people are like “i love gothic literature but i hate anything that discusses incest, sexual violence, oppression, misogyny, abuse, torture, gore, murder, or death”
no actually me and everyone else who’s ever watched crimson peak were brainwashed by guillermo del toro into believing that incest and violence are cool and awesome. sorry
Horrifying that this pearl-clutching over horror actually being dark is unironically becoming A Thing…

Imagine looking at a camera and saying, "I think it is okay to commit violence against political enemies, and I identify my political enemies based on random posters that anyone can make and say anything on without any precursory research" and thinking you're the hero in this story.
"You're very passionate" = "I don't want to call you a fucking idiot to your face because you already said you're fine with being violent because someone might disagree with you in undefined ways, but you are a fucking idiot."
Talk about a useful idiot lol
Literally brings back memories of how I got ‘radicalized’ in college, first year, maybe even first semester, when there was a big walkout planned and most of the students were in on it and were protesting ‘we pay for education not for discrimination’ and I went up to two or three in the cafeteria and asked them, very earnestly, good faith, what had happened?
‘We just feel that the teachers aren’t respecting us-‘
and I asked, no, like, what happened? What was the inciting incident here?
No one could tell me. No one could give me any examples of staff discrimination. No incidents.
It’s the same with any college group. There were these people protesting that my university wasn’t admitting enough minority students. I’m like “how do you know”. They’re like we don’t
Definitely not a cult, guys.
Totally not the thoughtless drones at the whims of evil people.
When protest becomes a lifestyle, something you regularly do along with your friends or peer group as a social activity as much as anything else, you will find yourself marching along in whatever mindless lynchmob the organisers of those events want you to. You have to stay vigilant and never pitch in to something you know nothing about just because a poster pinned up on a university campus by far-left ideologues tells you you'll be a good person if you do.
Literally the only reason people hate Chris Pratt is because of assumptions they made up in their head, not any evidence of wrongdoing.
Has he really even done anything evil or worth condemning?
He’s an outspoken Christian who attends church so, ya know, they need to burn him at the stake.
He once posted a video of him teaching his toddler respect for the flag and the pledge of allegience.
He’s a dangerous Thoughtcriminal.
They had to make up links to Bad People™ and wildly misinterpret perfectly innocent things he said and did.
Most of the people who hate him do it because they were told to, let’s be honest with ourselves.
