Life is pain, it's suffering, but it's joy through the rain.

So I was watching one of those elephant documentaries and some guy walked over to the elephants and the elephants all crowded round to look at him and stroke him with their trunks.

And it reminded me how when there’s a cat in the garden my entire family will go out and cuddle it.

Guys.

Elephants think humans are cute.

Now we know what elephants blog about.

it’s actually proven that elephants view humans as we view cute animals.

elephants are so SWEET though you guys idk if you realize

like, they extensively mourn their dead and one of the things they do is cover them with leaves, and sometimes when people go to sleep on the ground in an area with elephants, they will wake up COVERED WITH LEAVES because some elephants found them and thought they were dead and it made them sad so they buried them!!!!!!!!  omg precious

and they aren’t really “scared of mice” but they will get upset and try really hard to get away from a mouse because (we think) they are really afraid of stepping on the mouse!!!  they know they are big and have big stompy feets and they are afraid of stepping on other animals!!!

also they form long-lasting friendships and when rescuing elephants it’s really important to keep friends together because they can get really depressed when they are separated!  when friends are reunited they make happy sounds and cuddle really close and it’s so cute and it makes me cry.  ;______;  i just, have so many elephant feels you guys

I wanted to cheer myself up and what better way than to watch Amy Poehler fuck up on a constant loop, so I made this. I guarantee you will be smiling the entire way through. Enjoy, beautiful people <3

Even when she’s fucking up, she’s flawless

fun fact

im weirdly knowlagable in the history of soda i dont even drink soda why do i know so much about it

coke and pepsi taste different because coke was invent before refrigeration so it was designed to be drunk warm, while pepsi was designed after refrigeration was invented so it was designed to be drunk cold. as a result the tastes are different but if you drink pepsi cold and coke warm theyll taste the same.

Why the fuck do you know this

i honestly have no idea

coke’s recipe was originally green but the designers made it brown so it looked more like tea

Had they never seen green tea?

i dont even know if green tea was invented in 1886 but they wanted to make the public more open to eating the fizzy drink

alan i know about soda not green tea

i will trade u information abt bees and carrier pigeons for information abt the history of soda

no one knows where the origin of the name ‘7up’ started but it did have a mood stabilizer in the original recipe found in present day anti-depressants

i want facts about bees and carrier pigeons now

Carrier pigeons come from a species of Wild Rock pigeon, and their flights could be as long as 1800 km and were used as early as 3000 years ago.

You know in old cartoons where a character throws a beehive at someone, and you think ‘lol, but that wouldn’t work in real life’. Turns out it would, and did. People used to lob beehives at the approximate location of the enemy forces to expose them.

this is amazing thank you

Meet Friar Bigotón (Friar Moustache), aka Brother Carmelo, once a stray dog, now the first canine member of a Franciscan monastery in Cochabamba, Bolivia. He even has a little doggy-sized habit to wear alongside his fellow monks.

Considering that Saint Francis is the patron saint of animals, it seems only right that a Franciscan monastery would choose to adopt an animal in need.

“His life is all about playing and running,” fellow friar Jorge Fernandez told The Dodo. “Here, all of the brothers love him very much. He is a creature of God.”
“If only all the churches of our country [would] adopt a dog and care for him like Friar Bigotón,” Proyecto Narices Frías (Cold Nose Project), a local animal rescue, wrote in a post on Facebook, “we are sure that the parishioners would follow his example.”

Meanwhile it appears that Brother Carmelo is paying it forward by looking after the monastery’s fish:
