Been rewatching Secret Saturdays, and I miss drawing for this show, but get so busy! So I decided to do some fun redesigning of our main cryptid lad, as I was never really happy with my original design for him. Still not 100% satisfied with this, so I'll probably be playing around with the design again. I mostly just did this for the fun, flowy hair and magic, lol. Though I might keep the poncho, it's cute.

I really like giving Zak long, thick, wild hair, as if he's becoming in tune with his cryptid side, and because it looks nice when his magic kicks in. I also just like the mental image that a lot of small cryptids, like birds and lizards, tend to nest in his hair when around him, and he just doesn't mind.

In terms of other Secret Saturdays content down the line, I really wanna do more with the story of Kur I made, along with extenting the "My Past Eyes" fanfiction, but I really don't wanna write it out. I have a few ideas in mind, so hopefully I can do something there. I might do some oneshot stories perhaps, but I can promise nothing. So I hope you enjoy the drawing I have made. 🧡

He can and has been meaner. He's actually an asshole half the time, just in general, and I miss that.

I have this conspiracy theory that, maybe in the first draft, Zak was actually supposed to die in the finale, and the funeral that the show ends on would be his funeral. omg.... I forgot how enthralled Ben was with Drew Saturday's very presence in TGIS.

Honestly, I prefer her original design (and voice) compared with Omniverse's. I just don't see what Ben sees. All the human Saturdays are a downgrade except Zak. Glad Doyle wasn't there.

in the young justice animated universe i.e Earth 16, which one makes more sense as Meloni Thawnes father ?

i’m asking because i can’t decide who to make Barts grandfather for AAIT (my fic). In the comics Melonis actual father is Thaddeus Thawne (31st century Earthgov president) and that’s okay because the Thawnes r pretty much established as villains at that point so he’s easily a villain by association (and his actions lol), but in YJA well we don’t really know anything about them (we don’t even know if a reverse flash exists yet), so i feel inclined to make her dad Eobard (Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash in comics) especially as he would be the Thawne that exists at the same time as Barry (well he’s at the very least the earliest known Thawne lol)
