in the UK, if 100k sign a a government petition it will be brought to Parliament and debated. y'all know this country is suffering from some 80s-style bigotry right now, and this is one symptom: almost 200k fuckholes have come together to force the government to discuss whether it is 'appropriate' to tell children that queer people exist. this is a big symbolic victory for them. and i am burning with fury.
please, if you're from the UK, sign this counter-petition so they can at least see how much of a minority they are. simply put, the attempt to put these bastards in their place isn't gathering enough steam. there are barely 2000 more signatures now than there were this morning, and that isn't enough. i refuse to let these people feel even a moment of victory or satisfaction. please help.

GAMER NICO
Nico spent seventy years in an arcade, this bitch is a video game god, who’s twitch account is setting records, video game companies fear because he just breezes through every game, making their games look easy and childish despite the games always being ridiculously hard on other people.

- “Be not afraid, bitches,” but also, “what, like it’s hard?”
- Between Hazel’s curse being broken and Piper’s charmspeak, getting access to expensive gear is a non-issue, so he prefers to either receive tech in lieu of payment or otherwise fundraise for charity—things like the Trevor Project and Red Cross. Will handles a lot of the logistics.
- He can pick up and ace any game but he really mostly prefers retro arcade games. Pac-Man, Tetris—his fans convince him to compete in live competitions, and he’s known for just…showing up. He’s not spotted at airports or en route, he’s just there, he wins, and he leaves. The only sign of him being famous when he shows up is that a golden surfer boy records everything he does and seems to handle the logistics for him. This boy is also known for hooking Nico up to a glucose/electrolyte IV drip, “to stay hydrated! and nourished!”
- As he starts to understand that his fans are supportive of his quirky interests, he starts playing Mythomagic again. Not only is he a total nerd about the game, but he gets a couple of his Roman friends in on it, starting with Frank. All of them speak as though the mythical beings featured in the game are real, and are wary of their judgement. Nico’s fans comment on this but Nico never gives a clear answer.
- Mostly, he streams from his cabin at CHB, but sometimes he streams from Hades’ palace. His fans assume his whole family’s into the goth aesthetic and beg to meet his family. Hazel shows up sometimes, and no clarification is given beyond, “she’s my sister.” She has no discernible social media presence of her own.
- While it’s understood that a lot of his friends are like, surprisingly buff, he doesn’t look like much of an athlete himself. During a group Mythomagic game, someone makes a comment about swords, and his fans go nuts. Eventually, he agrees to stream a couple duels between him and other campers—Hazel disapproves, but she’s on the sidelines just to make sure the mortals don’t see anything too extreme. His fans are obsessed with him not only being an expert gamer but also, for some reason, kind of a badass swordsman?
- Percy appears in a stream and again, the fans go batshit bc someone claims to recognize him as that guy who was all across the news a few years ago, right??? This is denied.
- Fans eventually piece together that Will somehow knows an Olympic archer—“oh yeah, that’s my sister!” and now the fan base is on a mission to identify Nico’s connections to other seemingly-unrelated celebrities.
- There’s not much canon interaction between Rachel and Nico but like?? what if she made some of his icons and graphics

So, this one is actually a lot more important than reporting and blocking spam bots. That post has 20,000 notes rn, so it would mean a lot to me if you could give the same treatment to this as you gave to that (@neil-gaiman if you're listening).
If the petition gets 100,000 signatures they have to consider it for debate in parliament.
It's a crime that Gender Recognition Reform was blocked in England, but Scottish MPs voted it into law and that the UK Parliament overturned that is in direct contravention of democracy as a whole.

You can choose to bind or tuck, regardless of your gender. You can also choose to not bind or tuck for any reason.
You can be a masculine girl or a feminine boy if that's what you want.
You can be a man and wear a dress with heels. You can be a woman and wear suits or muscle shirts. You can wear anything that sparks joy.
You can become the void or an eldritch horror or be "just a guy/gal but not really"
You can have any name you desire, even if it is viewed as a "stereotypical trans/nb name".
You can have any kind of genitalia your heart desires. It is not fetishistic to want a penis, vagina, or both.
If your body is a temple, then you are the deity to whom it worships. Therefore, you can decorate your temple to your liking and still be exactly who you know you are.
There are no rules to being trans enough.
There is no one way to be a boy, girl, or nonbinary person.
Whatever you are doing for yourself, you are killing it out there!
