“Arm.” Whumper gestured, waving two fingers. They were sitting on whumpees bedside hardly looking up from fiddling with a strap.
But Whumpee didn’t move a muscle. They glared with a tired sickly look.
“Come on, I’m just checking your blood pressure. I’m not torturing you.” They snapped two fingers impatiently and held their hand out. Whumpee blinked rapidly, before hesitantly placing their wrist in whumpers hand as they tightened the strap around their arm.
“You’re not usually impatient.” Whumpee mumbled uneasily. Whumper stopped midway and stared blankly, before sighing sadly.

Undue Punishments
For the bastards out there.
Things Whumpee can get in trouble for that’s literally not ever their fault.
- Bleeding on the floor
- Not being able to walk on a broken leg
- Not being able to see something when Whumper’s blindfolded them
- Throwing up their food when Whumper’s fucked with it or hit them wrong
- Being ‘blemished’ by scars Whumper gave them
- Being unable to come when called because they’re still restrained
- Being too short/tall
- Not responding / speaking clearly when Whumper's gagged them
- Not contributing to the household income (literally kidnapped)
- Hitting the ground too hard when Whumper shoves them
- Bruising when hit
- Knocking something down when Whupmer shoves them into it
- Getting sick when Whumper hasn’t been taking care of them
- Losing weight because Whumper doesn’t feed them regularly
- Bleeding on their clothes
- Fainting when malnourished
- Being too obedient (boring)
- Having nightmares
- Passing out from pain, dehydration, or malnourishment
- Crying when Whumper pepper sprays them
- Passing out when strangled
- Fighting/thrashing while being drowned

Overanalyzing
Think about it, whumpee sitting in the dark, a blindfold covering their eyes and metal cuffs around their wrists. They don't freak out like the rest. They've found a coping mechanism: analyzing. They think of every possible scenario that the whumper could put them through and made snarky responses to anything whumper would say.
But now they sit in the dark, searching through their scenarios to see which ones involve being left without sight for hours on end.
Then the door opens and they strain to hear anything. They discard scenarios, flinching when a hand combs through their hair. They freeze, heart pounding. There was no pain. No screaming. Their breath hitches in their throat when a hand cups their cheek.
They didn't plan for gentleness.

It hurts
It hurts. Whumpee squeezed their eyes shut as the pain grew. They wanted to scream, but they didn't dare make a sound. Whumper didn't like that. They had to-
"Darling, it wouldn't hurt so much if you would scream. It would end quicker. Just one little whimper, is that so hard?" Whumper rubbed Whumpee's back gently and rocked them back and forth. They removed the knife from the long cut down their arm.
Yes, it was. They couldn't speak. They would be punished more for just one little sound. But it hurt so much.
"You're not with him anymore." The words brought back the flood of memories that Whumpee had been fighting against.
"If you scream just once, I'll make sure you'll never be able to scream again."
"Why do you whine so much?"
"You're such a crybaby. If you were a good pet, you'd be able to take it."
"You don't have to be afraid of making a sound anymore. I think your tears are pretty."
Whumpee stilled, the pain dulling as they tried to process the words. Whumper liked their tears. They didn't have to worry about making a sound. They let a small whimper escape, flinching when Whumper started humming.
"That's better, darling. That's all I want when I hurt you." Whumper ran a hand through their hair, dropping the knife at their side. "That was good enough for today, but tomorrow maybe we can try a little bit of crying?" They pulled Whumpee closer as they started to tremble. "Don't worry, we'll work up to the bigger stuff. You did so well today, so good for me."
