i think we all really need to step back a bit with how we view celebrities like........we don't know these people. we are not their friends. we have a built up perception of them in our brains based on the parts of them they want us to see and the things we like to think they are. it's not real. let it go.

this is a mix of both "they will do things that disappoint you because they're real people and not your perception of them" and "don't invade their privacy because they don't know you and you don't know them" but also just "stop presuming things about people you've never met based on how they look or the way they behave in interviews"

American Reflexxx is a short film documenting a social experiment that took place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Alli Coates filmed performance artist Signe Pierce as she strutted down a busy oceanside street in stripper garb and a reflective mask. The pair agreed not to communicate until the experiment was completed, but never anticipated the horror that would unfold in under an hour

The result is a heart wrenching technicolor spectacle that raises questions about gender stereotypes, mob mentality, and violence in America.

You see how quickly it escalates– and how quick people are to harass when they feel there is no reprecussion. But as soon as they are confronted, they ran away.

Notice that it’s a cis woman who shoves her down and that there are cis women hurling slurs at her right along the men. You can’t just chalk this up to male violence and act like it’s not your business. Cis women who consider themselves allies need to take a stand against violent transmisogynist cis women just like men need to take a stand against violent rapist men and white people need to take a stand against white violence.

Alright so. I have fucked my taxes up before. It was the year of no jobs and I cashed out a 401k to make my car payment and then forgot to report that as income.

Here’s what happened:

I got a bill from the IRS and had to pay what I owed plus a little extra for interest cause I was paying late.

That’s it.

The lessons here:

1) The IRS will not call you. Anyone calling saying they are from the IRS is a scammer.

2) The IRS isn’t gonna take you to court if they can solve the problem with one letter.

3) Accidentaly fucking up on your taxes if you made a good faith effort to file correctly isn’t illegal. To get you for tax fraud they have to be able to prove you did it on purpose. Hence why all I got was a bill. They knew that I could reasonably claim to have fucked up accedntally and as long as I paid up they did not care.

By popular request, I have now tried a “happy” comic. A new character is also introduced. But I don’t know yet if this one will appear again. It was a lot of fun to draw this comic, but I think the heartbreaking stories are more my style :’)

I know this comment is very much a “your experiences are not universal!”

But if you work around horses, livestock, etc and you have troughs and stocktanks please consider putting something in it to help animals get out

We recently put boards attached to the troughs with a zip tie thru a hole in the rim bc two weeks ago a squirrel died the same way that fox could’ve

If you have any contained larger/deeper body of water please consider taking measures so that wildlife doesn’t drown
