i watched her attempt to carry a chunk of caterpillar back to her nest, drop the chunk, and then immediately get stuck in an inactive stupider web. from which i promptly rescued her .

Coming in at number 38 in the book, The 50 Greatest Cartoons: As Selected by 1,000 Animation Professionals by Jerry Beck (1994), Bambi Meets Godzilla is a genuine classic in the annals of animation history for not only its absurdity, but for its genius simplicity.
The piece is so beloved that it was actually added on to the beginning of The Return of Godzilla (1985) on a number of VHS releases.
