Stop talking about how you can't write.

Seriously. Stop. You're convincing yourself that you can't. You're slowly tricking your brain into making sure you really can't do this anymore.

If you're struggling to write, that's okay. Just write shit. Write the most asinine, ridiculous garbage you can. Write about a character going to the store. Write about the birth of a dragon. Write about getting stuck in a storm. Write literally anything.

Just get back into practice. Shake the dust off. Get those gears creaking and oil em up. Stop telling yourself you can't write just because you're not churning out the next big thing. You can write anything. You just have to let yourself remember how. Sit down and just. Write the dumbest thing you can think of. Get words on the page. Any words.

Just stop shitting on yourself for not writing. That's not going to make you write. And stop obsessing over writing tips and tricks and hacks, like. You're just putting up walls in your mind that tell you that you can only write in these specific ways, within these parameters. Get words on page. Worry about refining later. Or never! Just write if you want to! You don't have to do it just right. Give yourself permission to do a rotten job. And write.
