1. Oral agreements are still enforceable under either statutory or common law, unless expressly forbidden by the UCC under the Statute of Frauds.  The UCC only governs the sale of goods, though, so arguably it has no weight here as it would be hard to find a court that would rule that the taking of a soul is the same as the sale of a good, as a matter of policy (courts try not to encourage the concept of human lives/souls as being equivalent to property).

2. Hearsay being used to prove the truth of the matter is inadmissible if the witness/speaker relies purely on an out-of-court statement, which is not the case here as Cas, the other party, is available for what would technically be a cross-examination.

GET THAT CONTRACTS LAW AWAY FROM MY EYES OR SO HELP ME

i feel like the statute of frauds should govern this. like wouldn’t giving your soul for another count as being a surety or something?

New drawin’ I did for an upcoming group show. “Coven of Roses,” graphite on Saunders Waterford hot pressed watercolor paper, 11x11". Almost October, so naturally it’s time for that spooky stuff!
