They were once again on the road to nowhere. The jail has fallen, Houston. But the static is the only thing answering the survivor’s desperate pleas. You get a good taste of the purest, nerve-wrecking loneliness.

You chuckled, patting the girl’s shoulder, and shared a laughing glance. You two girls got along well, so well that Maggie could have sworn she had a new sister.
