Rating of the Orange flavored Smirnoff ice encore :

Flavor: 4/5 pretty basic, orange soda flavor.

Colors: 3/5 looks like deluded orange crush.

Bubble factor: 2/5 basically no bubbles.

Taste: 3/5 taste like orangerina with a hint of alcohol, very basic and easy to drink.

Rating of the Original lemon flavored Smirnoff ice encore :

Flavor: 4/5 , also very basic, lemon with a hint of alcohol.

Colors: 1/5 , the color is very piss like, not very appealing.

Bubbles: 3/5, very little bubbles, easy to swallow.

Taste: 4/5, taste like you melted lemon popsicle and poured it in a beer. It is sort of nice. Easy to drink.

Rating of the Raspberry flavored Smirnoff ice encore :

Flavor: 3/5, the flavor is similar to that of a raspberry gummy in liquid form.

5 Top Spring Flower Spectacles and Where to Find Them

If you’re like me, Spring can never come too soon. And nothing says Spring like new flower blossoms.

This year, treat yourself to an abundance of Spring in one of these famous floral travel destinations.

By: Lynn Elmhirst, Host/Producer, BestTrip TV

 Tulips in the Netherlands

Where: Keukenhof Gardens and surrounding tulip fields

When: April

It’s the world’s largest spring flower garden. The Keukenhof Gardens are a showcase for the Netherlands’ biggest agricultural export: flowers and bulbs. The tulip is the ultimate symbol of a Dutch spring, and there are an astounding 7 million bulbs – tulips and other spring flowers - bursting into bloom on the 80 acres of castle grounds at Keukenhof. Open just a few weeks every spring, Keukenhof is a gardener’s dream: themed garden plots and pavilions, an windmill you can climb for a viewpoint over acres of surrounding tulip fields in bloom, boat rides in canals lined with never-ending blossoms.

You can also order bulbs of the blooms you can see at Keukenhof; they’ll be shipped to you ready for planting in the fall.

WATCH VIDEO, TOP: THE WORLD’S LARGEST SPRING FLOWER GARDEN ON AN AVALON RIVER CRUISE

 Also Find Tulips at:

The Ottawa Tulip Festival, Canada

There’s a Dutch connection to this flower festival in Canada’s National Capital. During the Second World War, the Dutch Royal Family took refuge in Canada’s capital, and a royal baby was even born on Canadian soil, as overseas, Canadian soldiers led the liberation of the Netherlands. In thanks, after the war, the Dutch sent tulips. 100,000 tulips, and tens of thousands more each year since. The mid-May Ottawa Tulip Festival is not only a symbol of Spring, it’s a symbol of peace and cooperation between nations.

 Chelsea Flower Show

Where: London, England

When: 5 Days Late May

(getty/ BethAmber)

This might be the most famous flower and landscaped garden show in the world. Members of the British Royal Family join garden lovers from around the world at the 11-acre site of the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual love-in of traditional, trend-setting and even avante-garde flowers and gardening. You’ll see glorious displays of beautiful and also rare spring flowers, floral exhibits and cutting edge design as well as traditional English gardening that is loved and imitated the world over.

The Chelsea Flower Show is the perfect place to buy English gardening tools and gifts for yourself or your friends at home.

 Japanese Cherry Blossoms

Where: Japan

When: Peak season on Japan’s main island is early-mid April

(Getty/ Torsakarin)

The Japanese don’t just have a word for cherry blossoms: ‘sakura’. The also have a word 'hanami’ that means to view the cherry blossoms. It’s a tradition that dates back a thousand years or more, originating with the Imperial Family and continuing today for all Japanese. It’s one of the most festive times of the year, when Japanese gather with friends, family and colleagues under cherry blossom trees filling parks, surrounding historic castles, temples and shrines, and lining riverbanks, drinking sake and picnicking under the trees long into the twinkling evening hours.

It’s not just the stunning beauty of clouds of white and pale pink blossoms hovering overhead; the Japanese also view short-lived cherry blossoms as a poetic symbol of the fleeting nature of life itself.

Also Find Cherry Blossoms in:

Vancouver, British Columbia

An estimated 50,000 blossoming cherry trees line streets and grace parks from February all the way through April, including the city’s famous urban Stanley Park.  The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year for most of the month of April.

Washington DC

(Getty/ zrfphoto)

America’s capital has a glorious annual reminder of the thousands of cherry blossom trees given by Japan to the US in the early 1900’s as a sign of friendship. Famously lining the shore of the Tidal Basin, DC’s cherry blossoms are celebrated annually during the National Cherry Blossom Festival from mid-March to mid-April.

 Texas Bluebonnets

Where: Throughout the state, especially the City of Ennis and its 'Texas Bluebonnet Trail’

When: April

(Getty / leekris)

This wildflower is the state flower of Texas and believed to be named from its resemblance to a pioneer sunbonnet. Bluebonnets are actually several varieties of lupins. They thrive in lesser soil and so line roadways as well as fill public lands and pastures.

The city of Ennis, south-east of Dallas-Fort Worth, is the official home of the bluebonnet, with over 40 miles of flower-bedecked roadsides, as well as an annual Festival. The Texas highway department not only delays roadside trimming so people can enjoy the spring bloom, its early officials were instrumental in encouraging these wildflowers to thrive. Today, they still plant about 30,000 pounds of wildflower seed each year, contributing to the preservation of Texas’ native vegetation.

 Also Find Lupins:

In Canada’s maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

 (Getty / bilbowden)

The lupins you’ll find growing wild in Canada’s eastern provinces are a larger variety than Texas bluebonnets, and although they’re more purple-y blue as well as pink and white, they’re an equally cheerful sign of spring. Well, actually early summer. The cooler climate means peak lupin season here is late June – early July.

  Azaleas in America’s South-East

Where: Gardens throughout the region and especially: Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, South Carolina

When: Throughout April

(Getty/MargaretW)

Azalea shrubs originated in Asia and were successfully taken to many places in the world. But in America’s south-east, they’ve gained a special place as an iconic garden favorite and symbol of gracious Southern living. Unlike other spring blooms, they’re quite long lasting, spreading joy for weeks of the season.

Many public and private gardens have a spectacular spring showing of azaleas, but special mention goes to Charleston’s Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The former rice plantation dates from the 1600’s, and is the oldest public gardens in the U.S, opening its doors in 1870 to visitors who wanted to enjoy its thousands of cultivated flowers and plants. The less-formal, 'Romantic’ style garden is not only on the list of one of 'America’s Most Beautiful Gardens’. Magnolia was also the first garden in the country to plant azaleas outdoors, in the 1840’s.

Today, hundreds of thousands of azaleas bloom in flame pinks, oranges and reds, lining paths and lakes in a breathtaking spring bloom.

Werther’s Mindfulness Challenge

Note before we begin: If you are outside of Canada, USA, Europe or Japan, please feel free to try this activity with another hard candy of your choice!

Challenge time!

This mindfulness exercise is all about being able to describe by making a statement without an attached judgment through the use of taste.

Unravel the wrapper, and set a timer for one minute. You can use your phone or stopwatch, the most important thing is you are not distracted by your the device or your surroundings.

Focus on the taste and feel of the candy in your mouth, if your mind wanders, don’t judge yourself, let it slowly return to the task at hand.

When the timer goes off, let yourself speak aloud or write down what you tasted. Was it creamy? Hard? Chewy?

The goal is to not make a value judgment, it’s important for this exercise to refrain from phrases such as “I liked” or “didn’t like,” and other words that give the piece of candy worth or value.  Starting with something that is as seemingly simple as a piece of candy can seep into our daily lives and help us learn to describe instead of making judgments.

If you try this activity, let me know your findings- was it easy? challenging? How did it make you feel?

If you found this activity helpful, please reblog and share! If you want more content like this, let me know by hitting the like button, because there’s many more where this came from! :)

I have wrote a poem for the fist time.

I have recorded myself speaking the words of my poem. I will show you the words as well. Please listen and enjoy.

I am right here living my live.

The only one I have, trying everyday to succeed.

Trying to focus on the best, but negativity always seems to keep pulling me in.

Confusing days and nights.

Can't seem to differentiate them.

Always hidden away in the darkness afraid of what is hidden within me.

Major depression aside, I'm flipping through books hungry for knowledge.

Thristy for remedies.

The need is strong to sustain the pain coursing through my vains.

My brains keeps echoing wispers of hate.

My heart pounds louder than the sounds of knocking on my door.

Anxiety trying to ruin my days.

I'm Tired of these shackles always holding me back.

I need to unwind, I need to be free.

Cannot accept defeat, wont let these demons drag me down.

So I'mma hide in my blanket fortress, until they leave.

Wont listen to their whispers, wont believe their lies.

I am not fat nor am I ugly.

I am beautiful under every sky.

I do deserve to be love.

My happiness does not depend on them.

All these lies in my head, small whispers from beyond my fortress.

I will not let them in, I do not welcome these monstrosities.

My loyalty does not lie with them.

Dementors in my brain.

Sucking all the happiness and leaving nonsense behind.

Expeto patronum, I'mma remember the happiness in my life.

Chase away this darkness with a fierce piercing light.

Beating down those wall, I toke so many years to build.

Letting happiness once again reign free within this broken body of mine.

I'll be Sipping on coca cola in a champagne flute.

I am not fancy that I can't deny.

But no more will I hide behind false walls,

Behind false faces.

And inside my fortress I have cried a river.

I will now let my creativity float, will not let it sink.

I will build a garden, watch my potential grow, nourish it and harvest it.

I will let it bloom, weeds and all.

I will not kill this garden within me with the fears, I used to hold so tightly.

SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT

So if a teenager is at school for roughly 8 hours, and they are doing homework for 6+ hours, and they need AT LEAST 9 HOURS OF SLEEP FOR THEIR DEVELOPING BRAINS, then they may have 0-1 hours for other activities like eating, bathing, exercise, socializing (which is actually incredibly important for emotional, mental, and physical health, as well as the development of skills vital to their future career and having healthy romantic relationships among other things), religious activities, hobbies, extra curriculars, medical care of any kind, chores (also a skill/habit development thing and required by many parents), relaxation, and family time?  Not to mention that your parents may or may not pressure you to get a job, or you might need to get one for economic reasons.

I will never not reblog this

“…but teenagers have no reason to be stressed.”

hey did you know anxiety levels in high school teens are actually as high as they were in insane asylum patients in the 1950’s? :)

damn!! that last comment… holy shit dude

not to mention, it’s simply not healthy (or even usually possible) for an adult’s brain, let alone a teen’s, to be ON all the time like that. you need downtime to process what you’re learning, or it doesn’t stick.

i don’t remember most of high school. at all. it never got fixed to long-term memory. i was just too stressed, too busy, and too overloaded.

When I was 17 my appendix ruptured because I thought I was just having period cramps and didn’t go to the hospital so don’t tell me PMS symptoms are no big deal

this actually happened to me during my math final and i didn’t think anything of it and when i was later admitted to the hospital my math prof was asking me ‘you didn’t have to take the final! why didn’t you tell me it hurt?!?!’ and i told him i’ve had cramps worse.

he gave me 100

This is actually an extremely common occurrence simply because in sex ed they don’t teach you how to tell the difference between menstrual cramps and other more serious pains. The way to tell the difference between cramps and appendicitis is that while menstrual cramps are generalized toward the middle of the stomach below the belly button, pain from a swollen or burst appendix will start in the middle of the stomach and relocate to only the lower right side, even lower than menstrual cramps, and is a very localized pain. It also comes on extremely suddenly and will worsen over time or when you make a sudden movement, like a cough or a sneeze.

Basically, if you’re feeling any sort of pain, even if it’s menstrual cramps, don’t hesitate to tell the school nurse or a parent, or if you’re out of school and home even make a doctor’s appointment. Chances are if your cramps are that bad there’s something they can do to improve that as well.

I am boosting the shit out of that reply, because I am twenty-fucking-five years old and did not know how to tell the two pains apart

Adding another diagnostic tool! This is something we use in the ER called the rebound test. Basically, appendicitis and cramps react differently to certain things. If you’re still not sure if you have cramps or appendicitis, take two fingers and press them into your abdomen where the pain is (try repeating this on the lower right quadrant of the abdomen just to be sure.)

When you press in firmly, it will probably hurt. Here’s the test: LET GO. Does it get better or get worse? Appendicitis will immediately hurt worse when you let go. Cramps will not. Go to the ER if the rebound test makes it worse!

THE REBOUND TEST IS REALLY IMPORTANT.

My husband got sent home from the ER with a rupturing appendix. When he came back and was rushed into surgery, the surgeon was super angry – “Why didn’t anyone do the rebound test?!”

All great info, but there is another lesson to be learned here: if you’re in major pain, it’s probably important - so don’t let anyone tell you it’s not. There is a documented pattern of women who go to the ER with complaints of pain being dismissed as overreacting…when in reality women have an incredibly high tolerance for pain, to the point that some don’t even realize exactly how serious their condition is. These stories only serve to illustrate this point.

Reblog to literally save a life.

Every time I see this..

Someone I knew who was a trained EMT says he heard during training “Men, whatever pain level a woman says she’s at, add two to imagine how bad it hurts you. If she says six it would feel like an eight to men.”

Cramps do a number on our concept of pain.

REBLOGGING BECAUSE JESUS THIS IS LIFE ADVICE GUYS!!!

So, I was having extreme pain in my lower right abdomen, where my ovaries are. And the pain was worse than my normal cramps but i just let it happen. But it got worse and worse over the next few weeks. It was so bad i couldnt even move and if I did, i would get dizzy from the pain. So i went to work, had the pain, left work early, drove myself to the ER. Explained everything to 5 different nurses, two attendings and one surgeon. They did the rebound test and it got worse so they took me to get a scan. They wanted to see how my appendix looked to see if it ruptured or not. Turns out I had a cyst on my ovary that was larger than normal.

Moral of the story, ladies. We are tough as shit, but if your cramps dont feel like they normally do, go to a professional to rule out anything serious.

Une sourire verte?

What is up with the French, like why?

"Une souris verte" ("A Green Mouse"), is a children's song, very well known in France, dated to the 18th century.* wikipedia sourced info*

I mean hello this is a song about a talking green mouse snail hybrid. Like What the fuck?

Une souris verte= A green mouse

Trempez-la dans l'huile,= Dip it in oil

Trempez-la dans l'eau,= Dip it in water

Ça fera un escargot, tout chaud.= It will make a hot snail.

Like were the French on super duper drugs back then to come up with such thing?
