5. Interviewer: “It’s lovely to witness the bond between you [Murdoc and 2D] actually. After all-”

2D: “What, because I have purple hair?”

14. Murdoc: “But the crowning glory, the real, golden setting on this 24-karat piece of hip-hop and rock, was the vocals. I have to hand it to the blue-haired gimp. 2D’s done it again! His vocals just glide over this track like a silky Russian ballerina.”

Here it is, my long winded tutorial, complete with some step by step action. I see a lot of people talk about wanting to diversify their artwork but not knowing how. This is my help to you. You really should take the time to invest in learning diverse eye shapes as diverse artwork always makes you a better artist. And frankly I’m really tired of drawing tutorials that talk up character diversity but only have the stereotypical “one Asian eye”.

I did some step by steps for those three diagrams, but I actually got them from this blog which has 14 of those examples! (Bonus: it’s a makeup blog so if you need help with that or want some idea of how to shade these eyes, there ya go)

Some takes on Tumblr sexymen and whether or not they actually deserve the title, following three core tenants:

-Tumblr Sexymen are popular— oftentimes the most popular character in their series, overshadowing the others with a loud, overwhelming, and sometimes annoying fanbase 

-Most focus on them is related either to angst or shipping. Their popularity must be fandomized. This is why some characters who are widely agreed to be attractive (See: Bowser) are not true sexymen. They are hot, but not fandomized.

-Their popularity and relevancy is long lasting. Someone who’s popular for a month doesn’t qualify as a sexyperson imo. They have to be inescapable, even if you’re outside of their fandom.

Tumblr Kinboys are very similar to Tumblr sexymen in that they are overwhelmingly popular and there is lots of shipping and angst for them, but they are (mostly) minors and the focus on them is based moreso on people projecting onto them. Hunter The Owl House is another good example of a Tumblr kinboy

Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. The rainbow does have more positive connotations than negative like the @ mintymaiden said. For example, violet is associated with more money, wisdom, and elegance than with blood and death just like the chart shows you. Also, check out "The Designer's Dictionary of Color" by Shaune Addams. Have fun learning something

I like that the presumption here is that "No One On Grumblr Has Heard of Color Theory. Let Me Explain in Depth" rather than simply acknowledging that the VISUAL EFFECTS of this particular color choice, applied in the manner it was, can still amount to "this is a hospital and that looks like blood"

like, color theory doesn't exist in a vacuum. If your design of choice for Hemospectrum Paint is asymmetric splatters and splotches against the wall, or in this case, a shellbeast trail on the hallway's floor, and infographic won't override the viewers' instinct
