"Edwina's courage in stepping forward and being so graceful and generous and kind— I think the Queen really recognizes herself, and the task that she has as a Queen to be graceful and kind and open to her subjects to world that she's in." —Golda Rosheuvel

Tumblr staff: ten options is enough for polls, right? No one needs more than that on a regular basis. The average tumblr user: Hey guys which element of the periodic table do you think is the most fuckable?

That last scene in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, where the older Queen Charlotte and the now older and fully Mad King George are lying down with each other, after she's told him their children have finally produced a legitimate heir... the way he holds her hand and says "You didn't go over the wall." The way she looks at him and says "No George, I didn't go over the wall."

The way they laugh/cry and kiss each other. The way the unspoken part is that Charlotte will NEVER go over that wall and abandon him to the demons in his mind. And, if you know their history, the real Charlotte never did abandon him and cared for him till she died. The real George would die two years later.

Don't mind me, just thinking about how Queen Charlotte is still dressing like it's the late eighteenth century forty years later, how it's portrayed as a deliberate choice with her entourage also echoing the same exaggerated rococo style, how Lady Danbury is shown to have moved on by adopting the regency silhouette, how Brimsley said the Queen's daughters wouldn't leave her because she was trapped in time, frozen...

Okay but Charlotte was extremely generous to her children in regards to their marriages up until the line of succession was in question. She let all the boys secretly date whomever they chose and, most significantly, she didn’t sell off any of her daughters as alliance chattel (the way that she was). She was extremely hands off on their love lives until she couldn’t be and the cosseted royal children don’t realize that or the fact that very few children in English society grew up with present parents

You see the crippling beginnings of this affliction that he’s victim to, and he suffers daily from this crushing despair at the hands of what he’s dealing with. What we see in the show, is when you have those inner demons, and you love someone utterly, it forces you to look in the mirror and see what you’ve been hiding from, and fight them head on, to open up and let someone in entirely. Through that overcoming, we start to see the love story between George and Charlotte really flourish.” - Corey Mylcheerest
