This Vlog Took Me 5 Days - A Riverboat Pachinko Update Video

I've put together a new vlog/recap/ thing! Come take a look at what I've been up to!

Two weeks ago, I said I’d have stuff to post about a new level ready by last weekend. To my credit, I DID have the level ready – I just got a bit too wrapped up experimenting with video editing. So anyways… here it is: A recap of my last month or two on Riverboat Pachinko! Thanks for watching!

Working on a monster catching game with a friend.

We've been making good progress designing various biomes for the game. Each monster is strongest when fighting in its own natural environment.

the creator of Webbed (a super cute, 2D pixel puzzle platformer where you are a happy little jumping spider on an adventure to save her boyfriend from a big mean bowerbird) is working on a game where the main character is an isopod!!! it is yet unnamed, and the creator doesn't appear to have a Tumblr, so I'm spreading the good news here!

game progress and sneak peeks on Riley Neville's twitter!

hii I made a 2D lighting engine with ray tracing and I'm working on a video script to explain it from the ground up assuming no prior knowledge of shaders or rendering :3

Second set of animations of the Bergmann MP18. Now with sounds and an overall more polished feeling. Still needs some refining, but we're pretty satisfied with the result!

Everything is a work in progress, and is subject to change.

[Talk] How To Develop A Game Alone, Sustainably

I gave a talk this weekend at The Hand Eye Society's Super FESTival on the subject of How To Solo Dev Sustainably.

In this talk I covered topics ranging from the pros and cons of solo game development, how to find work methodologies and structures that work for you, as well as how to plan your own projects in a way that can help them actually get finished!

Here's a link to the recording of it on Youtube; please feel free to check it out and share it around if it helps you as well! :)

Interior Worlds is out - and it's 10% off on Steam and itchio until the 15th.

  • Take up to 1,000 unique photos.
  • Explore 10 liminal worlds.
  • Soak in an ambient soundscape.
  • Find lots of secrets.

In my haste during the launch I forgot to make a post about this on Tumblr, but right now you should grab Interior Worlds on Steam or itch before 10% discount runs out!

My partner normalhumansixx and I worked so incredibly hard on it and would love for you to give it a shot- or maybe even leave a little review if you like it!
