just wanted to remind everyone again not only of the 3,000+ resources offered through our Liberation Library but also of the study guides for beginners offered under each of our social justice topics!

resources can be organized by type (article, novel, podcast, video, etc.) as well as filtered and searched through. we’ve tried to make our system much more accessible than our former platform on google docs so this is such an exciting development to share with everyone.

please share to promote equitable access education!

LA City Council voted to criminalize sitting in public on 20% of LA’s land in an effort to strengthen police power and funnel more unhoused and Black and brown people into jails. Council members used police to clear the chamber of protesters, and nearly all people in the chamber, in order to pass the measure without protest.

So we're all.... We're all seeing it now right? Like.... I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but we can't fucking trust the government to tell us the truth or protect us.

They're here for their own power and nothing more. They won't be satiated until we've been crushed to a fine dust. This city we all live in - they want to funnel anyone and anything that isn't their able bodied, nice white, cis, straight, Christian reality out of sight and out of mind. This is no post colonial era. Oh your city is getting gentrified? Back in the day it was called colonised.

It's harder to see now. Social media bombards us with too much and far too little information. The cycle will continue until we stop it.

Hey Chronic Illness Tumblr

So... I had an phonecall with a nurse today in which I was informed my rheum was out of office and my appointment is being cancelled and rescheduled to June. Ok. I know he's busy so fine. Even though this was a big deal. I get my pain treatments done in office. We talk about medication chances that need to happen soon. I had some concerns I wanted to talk about.

Then I say 'oh well I hope the Dr is okay. " And she kinda made it seem like he really. Really. Wasn't.

That's scary. I'm afraid of finding a new rhumetologist. I don't know what that will entail for me and all of my chronic illnesses. He was really my primary provider. So now I need a new rhumetologist. I'm sure a lot of us do. I'm sure a lot of us worry about it a lot. It's not great that our healthcare is so unstable that we live in constant fear of needing to find a doctor if we can't find one that yknow... Can do their job. Why don't you leave a suggestion?

Last month I caught Covid, and right at the start of my symptoms I saw this post. For the next 8ish days, I was HAUNTED by this song. It played on a loop in my head for hours. I would wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat singing “…mixed with Zach Galifianakis” as it bounced around in my virus-addled brain. It was literally inescapable.

Anyway as soon as that ended, the Morbin Time memes started so you can imagine how that went for me, who would be deliriously sick for another 5 days.
