Ok I Need to talk about this because I'm obsessed with their interaction!

We can see two diplomats at work, carefully discussing important matters in a calm, overpolitly way while not hiding disliking each over. If you read between the lines it's clear they don't want to be together in the same room:

Arlecchino needs a favour for her beloved children, Neuvillette needs to hear her out because she's a Snezhnaya diplomat and needs to keep peace.

But if you take aside all the unnecessary courtesy you realized they're quite passive aggressive, especially Neuvillette.

One of the first things he says after he greets us is something like "I didn't think we'd seen so soon after giving you the gnosis" which traslates in "I though you'd get the fuck out already".

Then they start to talk about water and shit - whatever Arlecchino needs to get it over with- and he randomly accuse her of murder. They weren't even CLOSE talking about it but he needed to throw it there.

How much does Neuvillette, the Iudex of Fontaine, symbol of justice and well known to be equal and fair, need to be pissed at you for him to accuse you of murder out of the blue??

And I know it's purely intimidatory because he does absolutly nothing about it, he just wanted to tell her "you need to know that I KNOW" and she knows it. So she pretends to not know and he pretends to believe it, probably because he has no proofs (and she probably knows this).

Then there's this veiled attempt of corruption from Arlecchino's part when she gifts him the Snezhnaya springwater and he catches that, and he immediatly stop the conversation with barely a goodbye.

Like, the cutscene immediatly stops and we're out of the door two seconds later.

If you stop to talk to Neuvillette after the cutscene he does an elaborate speech where he basically says "idk what's wrong with her, be careful"

Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine.
