So I started a bullet journal to keep track of all of my character info for my Aasimar Paladin. As this is my first ever campaign I've found it really helpful to have an action page that reminds me of everything I can do while playing as well my basic cantrips, class traits and abilities. I created spell cards that I keep in the pocket of my journal and pull out my prepared spells for the day and have a simple character sheet with my stats next to me as a reminder!
