Did you see the part in the latest jurassic movie where they stopped jeff goldblum from unbuttoning his shirt??? He wanted it unbuttoned, I wanted it unbuttoned, let us see! Worst part of the movie.

i literally said "don't be shy unbutton it some more" very loudly and my friend started laughing. the man is a SLUT let him have his open shirt!!!!!

It really helps to not be picky about what art you engage with actually. Gotta mix up your diet a bit from time to time

If you find you're bored of the folk punk you always listen to, try out a rap album. If you only ever watch classic cinema or more grounded art films, check out a fast and furious movie or something. Or try reading a book if you only ever consume film or tv. Or comics. Or go to an art museum. You may not like whatever it is you try out, and I promise you don't have to like it, but I can guarantee that you can't subsist on a monoculture. Be open to experiencing new art. Even if it's bad. Especially if it's bad, actually.

of all the historical events I could have lived through and for some reason it was the rise of fascism in america and the heartbreaking love story of dan and phil

sighing really long and loud. they should invent an essay that does itself

(horror drone sound effect in the background getting louder) (remembering it is 2025) but not like that

if you pitched goncharov vs the dangerous crow boy (who destroys plastic) alongside one another to an outside person and asked them to choose which one was a tumblr fever dream and which one was a real thing published in the real world. i do not think they would choose correctly

idk if this is a boomer take but I think ppl should make more of an effort to go see movies in theaters bc I couldn’t bear it if the movie theater industry went down and the only way to watch movies was through streaming I’m not strong enough

Actually I’ll make it even more boomer because I genuinely think it’s a good thing for people to have a reason to put down social media for an hour or two and just focus all their attention on a movie together and get fully immersed like I think that’s good practice for our attention spans and ultimately for our mental health (unless you’re a person who uses your phone during the movie in the theater in which case uh idk die)

funniest thing about seeing tumblr mentioned on other websites is the people who are utterly confident that tumblr is exactly as it was in 2012. like we're a bug trapped in amber.

saw someone on reddit mention you gotta be careful making fun of Taylor Swift on tumblr because the Swifties will get you. there are like 8 swifties on this site and they're playing dolls in their own corner.

"careful, an SJW will call you a shitlord for saying that 🤣🤣🤣" sir we use exploding car hammers these days. in fact the exploding car hammers are even a little dated.

"the fangirls are gonna hunt you down for insulting their fave" most of the fangirls are men now.

and most of the fanboys are women

A "salad" of radishes on the side would make this dish perfect.

You could add mozzarella pearls to the radish salad. Soften the pepperiness of radishes a little.

Do they sell mozzarella balls that small?

Yeah, they're sold as mozzarella pearls. The idea is that you can throw them into a salad, instead of shredding a normal sized mozzarella ball.

Some stores have mozzarella in a tube shape and it's firmer. You can slice pieces and put them on pizza and they keep the shape better.

Yup, balls and bricks are what I'm familiar with.

But yeah, more spheres for the sphere menu! xD

could have mochi for dessert

I have learnt today that my library refers to me as 'the specific and highly active user' and has denied some of my purchase requests because 'we can't skew the collection too much toward the taste of the specific and highly active user'.

I did suggest roughly 100 vampire books for purchase last year. I think this probably has something to do with that.

op is there any particular reason the librarians would feel safer not invoking you by name
