Nevada, New York, and now Illinois, state after state is running into potential tampering in Clinton’s favor.

I highly encourage everyone to share this. Not just on Tumblr, but also on Twitter and Facebook if you use them. This miscarriage of democracy needs to be publicized to the fullest extent. It’s unlikely that the Clinton-favoring media will cover this story, so convince the writers of media-critical programs like The Daily Show, The Nightly Show, and/or Last Week Tonight to do a segment covering these incidents.

okay so this season alone we have lydia being mistreated for literally all of the season- her suffering ending only after the point when she woke up after everyone thought she was dead, we have the riddiculously problematic catastrophe that is marrish and jordan parrish, we have Scott/Posey still not being treated as the main by the writers and the fandom, we have Kira still not getting the screen time she deserves, we get Malia also getting mistreated when she does get a decent amount of screen time, but “Stiles saved me” is the straw that broke the camel’s back?

if you’re “done” with this show only after and because of that when literally half the people who are complaining gave two cents when all these characters they’re “offended” for weren’t included in the entirety of the season but yeah how dare they leave the pack out of Lydia’s gratefulness (even though, you know, they didn’t) than really good riddance

The whole problem with Stydia (both fandom-wise and show fanservice-wise) has been discussed at length and this isn’t anything new. People aren’t upset about it because they’re being petty, people are upset about it because Stydia is a fucking atrocious ship, it is god-awfully disrespectful to Lydia given the ludicrous amount of crap Stiles has done to her, and more than fandom continuing to be obnoxious about it, the show’s relatively recent insistence in engaging in fanservice for it (usually to the detriment of the other characters, especially Malia) is annoying, it’s getting old, and nobody here likes it.

So maybe consider taking your business elsewhere, because nobody here is interested in whatever you’re trying to sell here lol.

Like nice attempt but the reality is that we’ve been complaining about the disgrace that is Stydia for years, and things have only been getting worse. At least before we were more or less “certain” that Jeff had a very clear “no Stydia” mindset, and that Stiles would always end up dating other characters throughout, but these days this no longer appears to be true, and so of course people are upset about and tired of it. Especially many women who aren’t overtly fond of the whole “nice creep Stiles getting his Lydia trophy” narrative.

Many people I know have been vocal about all those problems you’ve mentioned, myself included, and ‘stiles saved me’ isn’t the straw that broke anything, it’s simply one more instance of problematic prioritization on the show’s part. Which says more than anything that uh…mostly just being consistent here?

I’m not a Stalia shipper, I have no horse in the ‘who does Stiles end up with’ race nor do I have one in the ‘who does Lydia end up with’ race. My problem with the Stiles saved me line had absolutely NOTHING to do with the ship and everything to do with many of the problems you yourself outlined in your opening post.

- I had a problem with it because it’s yet another instance of the show/writers not treating Scott as the main, when Scott was the one who gathered the pack specifically to save Lydia, Scott was at LEAST one half of making the plan to save Lydia, Scott was the one fighting off guards and getting mobbed and tasered to the ground trying to save Lydia, Scott was the one going in Meredith’s mind to find and save Lydia, Scott was the one who found Parrish and prompted his turning back into the Hellhound specifically so he could get to Lydia in time to smother her screams and save her and everyone around her, and Scott was the one literally standing in the shadows at the corner of the camera frame unacknowledged while Lydia said ‘Stiles saved me’ and the camera panned over to focus and linger on Stiles’ face as though he were the sole hero of the day and the actual main character who had set every part of the rescue in motion and was fighting for Lydia every step of the way was only there to support him.

- I had a problem with it because it’s yet another instance of Kira not getting the screentime she deserves, and it completely overlooked her role in fighting past her own fears about her out of control powers and fox spirit and training specifically to do what was needed to get them inside and literally taxing herself to the point of unconsciousness after using her power in ways she never has before. And yet despite everything she did to save Lydia, everything she risked, every fear she faced and toll she suffered, she didn’t even merit a montage clip celebrating all of Lydia’s friends and their roles in her escape, because ‘Stiles saved me.’

- I had a problem with it because it’s yet another instance of Malia getting mistreated by the show, because regardless of your personal feelings about Stydia or Stalia, it only served to highlight that despite being Stiles’ canon girlfriend for a season and a half, Stiles had yet to show any indication he was remotely affected by her being kidnapped and almost murdered by her mother and shot in the gut by Theo. Again, not about personal feelings about the ships, but rather the fact that ‘Stiles saved me’ followed by the camera glorifying Stiles in his moment of triumph only serves to send the message that the show didn’t feel Malia deserved any concern or consideration from her ex-boyfriend in her own life and death situation.

So no, there’s nothing remotely out of the ordinary about many of us having an issue with that line, which would be clearly evident if you weren’t convinced that everyone’s reactions revolves around your ship and feelings regarding it. They don’t. Even when people do have an issue with Stydia itself, it’s not even about the ship, it’s about other characters and their priorities and screentime being thrown under the bus in service to it. Like the Eichen House scene in 5A, when Scott and Kira talked about Stydia - I had a problem with that scene and talked about it at length, and then as now, it had zero to do with Stydia the ship and everything to do with the fact that one of Scott and Kira’s few scenes alone together was wasted on them talking about their friends’ non-relationship when it’s not like either Stiles or Lydia have ever wasted any of their screentime reflecting on Scira or how good they are together. (Not to mention how poorly it characterized Scott and Kira, as though either would be so cavalier about talking about a friend being interested in someone other than their OTHER mutual friend, his current girlfriend). I can see how then, as now, you might leap to the conclusion that we’re dissatisfied with Stydia, but it’s simply not true. We’re dissatisfied with the show sacrificing other characters’ screentime, characterization, and own moments of triumph and struggle, solely for the sake of showing how much Stiles cares for Lydia, when like….great? You don’t actually have to neglect the other characters or how much they care in order to do that. It was shitty writing, and that has nothing to do with Stydia other than the fact that Stydia happened to be the focus of this particular instance of shitty writing.

But here is the thing. And don’t get me wrong, i agree with all of your points, but i want to point out this one thing. Lydia doesn’t know what the others did. She only saw Stiles, the rest of the time she was out of her mind with mind breaking noise and pain or unconscious. and then who did she see when she woke up? the first face? Stiles, yes everyone else was there, but Stiles was like right up front begging her to wake up and not be dead. I’m not a stydia shipper i lean more towards stalia if i’m honest. but its a matter of  Installation irony (we as the audience know that everyone had a part in saving Lydia, but some of the characters are not so aware of this, such as Lydia and Natalie) so i mean the writers aren’t blowing everyone’s efforts off except Stiles like they didn’t do anything. they are just following certain consistencies. And i also think that Lydia says that Stile saved her to her mother because Natalie has been hating on Stiles the whole season. that’s probably not super accurate just my opinion.

Alycia had a pretty bad day and night. on Mercedes Periscope, she was asked why she doesn’t go on social media and she went from smiling to pretty quiet. She’s been getting a lot of hate from people telling her to leave The 100 and that they hope Lexa dies and she does too (I remember reading that one on twitter, I’ll link it as soon as I find it again). I’m not sure what exactly happened tonight but she was out eating with Mercedes and was drinking quite a bit (very obvious).

You guys need to fucking chill and leave her alone. She gets uncomfortable when people invade her and ask her questions and especially are mean to her. She’s a pretty quiet person and that’s something we all know. So honestly back the fuck off.
