People like you criticize the Nazis but without the Nazis you wouldn't have any stories to tell.
Well, that certainly makes the Holocaust worthwhile then…
No one in the world told stories before WWII.
“How was your day?”, people would ask. Their questions went unanswered, for what would they say?
History. Religion. Literature. None of this existed, because there were no stories to be told.
Finally, following the deaths of millions and millions of people, Winston Churchill famously said, “What if we, like, wrote this down or whatever?”
And that’s why we never (ever ever ever not even once) told stories before the Nazis came along. And we definitely didn’t create classic literature or theatre that continues to be loved to this very day.
Fun fact: the word “story” didn’t actually exist until after WWII.
Prior to the holocaust, every conversation consisted of two people standing around and remarking on the things that were currently happening in their immediate vicinity.
“A car is driving by,” “Yes, it is red,” Was about the best you could hope for. Then the holocaust happened and everything changed.
