Character Introduction: Larissa Frausto
She’s a bit nervous…
~Basic info~
Name: Larissa Frausto
Age: 12-13
Birthday: September 22
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Brown
Larissa Frausto is one of the six main Cures in Nintendo Precure and is the group leader. She is a first-year (7th grade) student at Special Talents Academy. Larissa’s “alter ego” is Cure Jump. (Cure Jump will be featured in a separate Intro post.)
Larissa is a shy and emotional young girl who avoids others as best as she can due to past events. She is easily able to become upset over the littlest things, and panics when things don’t go the way she expects. Due to this, she is a misfit and distances herself from the other kids around her. Larissa didn’t seem to have friends before meeting the other members of Nintendo Precure.
Though shy, once you get to know her, her passionate side starts to show about things she loves. She’s a geek for video games, and gets VERY excited about them to the point that she will talk really fast, making it hard to understand her. Though, she still seems to keep things to herself, locking them deep within.

If you cannot tell, Larissa’s favorite color is pink. She loves pink. Pink is truly the color ever for her. Somehow she ended up being a red cure though. Tough luck.
~Favorite Games~
Larissa is the Mario centric cure of the group, so of course one of her favorite games is the Mario series. Larissa has a lot more interests than just Mario though. Mario was her childhood, but she also really likes Sonic, Animal Crossing, Style Savvy, Splatoon and later on in the story stumbles upon Persona 5. Though, she never actually plays the game, she watches the anime. (Yes, I know that’s a crime to persona fans, so sorry guys but the anime age rating is much closer to her actual age than the game’s rating for some reason)
Have I mentioned that later on in the series she develops a crush on Joker? Oh to be young and in love… yeah she’s weird, even gets a plush of Joker (who she calls Renren), but it makes her happy so let’s let her be happy.

Thank you for checking in! This side blog will be dedicated to @peachiecure’s Precure fanseries, Nintendo Precure! The blog will post anything related to the fanseries, whenever that be art, announcements, etc.
While the current 3 NP episodes are in the process of getting uploaded on AO3, the blog will be having spotlights on the characters in the NP universe. I also think it would be a good introduction period to get to know the characters and such.

Nominee Spotlight: Love Sent! Motto♥Motto Precure
Love Sent! Motto♥Motto Precure is nominated for multiple awards at the 2022 Fancuries. Here’s what the creator Fennieaile @mottomottoprecure has to say:
Best Villain Design - Ikari’s design is basic on purpose. Some of my favorite characters in Precure have always been the “Sadboy” Teenager Villains (Kiriya, Julio, Ira, Daruizen, etc) they’re somewhat of a staple of Precure. When I first came up with Ikari, he was meant to emulate that trend without a hint of Irony. However, as Ive grown older, he’s become more like a parody of that Precure Trope. He’s meant to poke fun at the concept. He’s clumsy, stupid, impulsive, has a crippling fear of heights, and screams like a toddler. Despite that, he sees himself as a brooding, misunderstood, badass. His design reflects this in that he’s trying desperately to look cool and edgy, that he doesn’t seem to realize he looks kinda foolish. His design is NOT meant to be cool, it’s meant to align specifically with what this 14-year-old emo loser thinks is cool.
Cutest Written Cure - Yuanfen Zhao’s mannerisms are largely based on my own memories of my childhood, research into both child psychology and neurodiversity, and observations I’ve made after watching my young cousins. Yuanfen’s a sweetheart, who’s caring and generous. While this is a great strength, it is also a weakness. Yuanfen is extremely naïve and gullible. She often fails to think things through, and doesn’t understand much about the world. She’s believes there is good in everyone, despite being proved wrong time and time again. Her worldview is childish, and does little to expand past her average life. This is in contrast to the other cures on her team, particularly Momoka, who has been through a lot in the six years she has fought as a Precure. Despite Momoka’s desire to teach and protect Yuanfen, it’s arguable that Yuanfen herself ends up teaching Momoka a lot more, about love, forgiveness, and embracing one’s inner child. I added a lot of small moments to chapter one (as well as more in the upcoming chapter two) to highlight Yuanfen’s childish naïveté and general cuteness. Some of my favorites include the moment where Yuanfen tries to relate to Momoka by relating Momoka’s struggles about public speaking to her own presentations in school, saying, “whenever I need to present in school… my words mix up like alphabet soup.“ Another reoccurring mention is that of Yuanfen’s Precure Trading cards, and her desperation for the Ultra-rare Holographic Cure Cœur card that alludes her. She often fails to understand phrases, relating to money and buisiness. Unfortunately, Yuanfen also has a terrible track record when it comes to fighting, considering her weapons of choice are twigs and garden rakes. Her love for dolls and toys are brought up frequently as well, as she laments her inability to bring toys to school. Her cuteness can even be seen in her transformation, where she uses crayons to design and create her cure costume.
Chapter of the Year - Love Sent! Motto💕Motto Precure Chapter One “Sending Love your Way, A Precure is Born” was very much a passion project for me. I started it in mid-2020, but didn’t make any significant progress until 2021. It was completed and published a few months after the previous Fancuries. I took my time on it, and it ended up maxing out at almost 11,000 words and 61,000 characters. Length is obviously not a good judge of quality, but I hope that it at least shows how much love I poured into it. I truly wanted it to be as good as possible, and I can only hope it met expectations. I hope to improve even more with the next chapter, even if it takes a decade to come out. 😭 Excellence in Writing - I started my efforts in writing as quarantine started. I had tried writing in the past but my goal then was never really to improve in writing. My goal was to get fanseries chapters out at a rapid pace with minimal editing. In fact, I remember my first fanseries, which was created when I was twelve (so 2017-ish), would have new uploads every day for several days in a row. Over time, my goal changed to improving my craft as much as possible. Largely inspired by my friends, I leaped into writing without much experience to my name. My largest improvement came with the help of my beta-readers and editors, who guided me along the way. It sometimes was hard to hear their critiques at first, as I never experienced that kind of thing before. At first, I let it affect my view of myself as a writer. I stared to convince myself that I would never be a good writer. But over time, I learned to take critiques in stride. Getting critiques and edits didn’t mean I was bad writer, and it’s largely thanks to them I managed to get MMP Chapter One out. Being over 10,000 words long, it was quite an undertaking. But the sense of pride I felt upon its completion was something I never felt before. MMP chapter two has faced its own unique difficulties, as now that I’ve created a standard for myself, I feel a new pressure to meet it. I’m a perfectionist, and I rarely settle for mediocrity when it comes to my work. As of now, I’ve gone through an AP English Class as well as a Creative Writing Class to improve my skills. Since then I’ve improved a lot, and I hope that MMP Chapter 2 won’t disappoint… even if it takes me like three more drafts to create something I deem adequate.

A team of young cures and their mentor are tasked to stop a fated conflict decades in the making. Along the way, Yuanfen Zhao and her friends find out what it truly means to grow up and the importance of bonds.
Characters 💕
Yuanfen Zhao/Cure Fěn (Hóng Sè)
A timid girl who spends her free time playing with dolls and restoring broken dolls to give them away. She's empathetic and affectionate, but is held back by her debilitating fear of.. pretty much everything. Yuanfen is very skittish and struggles with making friends. She appears very mellow from a glance, but she's internally very hyper. Her mind is constantly racing.
Cure Fěn tends to avoid fighting whenever possible, and embraces her role as a healer. Using her wand, Yuanfen mainly uses long ranged attacks.
Ryouta Asuka/Cure Rojo
Ryouta Asuka is the quiet realist of the Love Sent! Motto Motto Precure team. He struggles to express his feelings and read the feelings of others, leaving others to believe he is cold. In reality, he is incredibly caring, finding it easier to express himself using actions rather than words. Ryouta enjoys surfing the internet for Precure trivia along with roller skating. However, he finds little time for these things, as he's stuck babysitting his two younger sisters all the time.
Cure Rojo is the offensive frontliner of the team, using his blade and explosive abilities to take down enemies swiftly. Rojo seems to care little about his own well-being, often he finds himself injured after battles.
Yuzuki Yuuta/Cure Giallo
Yuzuki is the most social of the initial trio of cures. She's flamboyant and fun to be around. However, her social status is built on a mountain of lies. A compulsive liar by nature, Yuzuki is scared to share her true self with people. It takes the other cures a long time to break down the walls she's built around herself. In private, Yuzuki enjoys gymnastics, playing video games, and... pretending to be a demon lord?
Cure Giallo is a speedy and playful fighter, using her skills from gymnastics to move skillfully across the battlefield. Giallo uses a whip in combat.
Momoka Masami/Cure Cœur
Momoka outwardly portrays herself as a perfect student, friend, and Precure: A role model for her young comrades. Momoka is constantly portraying a persona, never being her true self. Even her motherly side is merely a persona. The exact reason why she does this is unknown, but it likely stems from her 6 year career as a Precure. She likely went through alot during that time, and her primary goal is to make sure the younger trio never have to suffer like she did.
Cure Cœur outclasses her teammates by a wide margin due to her long career. She wields a lance and often goes a little too far, and could even be seen as a bit sadistic. She doesn't mean for this to happen, she has simply grown numb to both the pain she inflicts on others and the pain she is subjected to.
