so many things to point out

-the teapot on the fireplace

-the dragonfly lampshade

-her other shoe on the floor

-calamity colored pillows

-clicker pen

-sprig’s action figures that Anne broke

-the print of her earth shirt on the curtains

-hop pop’s cane

-her family all being on one wall with Sasha and Marcy being on the other

i find it very cool interesting that the girls all ended up with jobs that aren't what was expected of them.

sasha chose not to use her leadership skills to pursue a career, because she knows how her being a leader feeds into her worst qualities, like being controlling and manipulative. no, instead of "bossing her way through life" she chooses to help people. specifically by giving kids the therapy that and help she so desperately needed when she was a kid.

and marcy, who has always been very intelligent, and was expected by everyone to take a very academic career path instead chose to become an artist. she creates a webcomic because she loves fiction. she pursues something she is incredibly passionate about and not what people (i have to assume including her parents) expect of her.

and anne who didn't know what she wanted to do, and who didn't really have any expectations placed on her... well, she was offered a job by god, declined, and then chose to become a herpetologist. seriously though the fact that she pursued science, and specifically biology, is also something unexpected considering how she was barely passing school, and always chose "the easy path". but she found her passion, and a way to keep her memories of amphibia alive, and she followed that path that she chose for herself.

amphibia really said “you may not always be physically present in someone’s life, but you will always be there in their heart. love cannot be forced or coerced, but it is worth working for and worth having. every heart you change and love you create is worth it along the journey of life”

BSD Chapter 101

We finally got a new chapter name! "Drifting Underwater"

Things went really fast in this chapter and a lot of new information has just been thrown in I need some time to proceed it but Dazai is so consistently crazy and messed up and somehow it makes me feel good.

Note that neither English nor Japanese is my mother tongue so I do make mistakes here and there. Please let me know if there is anything you want me to correct.

SPOILERS AHEAD

To me the quality in the art and content in LO had a drop. The expressivity of the characters the use of the colors..it had a drop, it's not the same anymore, and the plot got SOO exagerated, it's not the same comic anymore and it doesn't anymore have anything to do with the myth(the author when started Lo in an ask told that she wanted lo to follow or have in it as more myth as possible plus some arcs were opened and now left ,like Semele...what happened? Her should have been a huge arc about Hera thus is one of LO protagonists).

This is how marketing ruin things.

(I putted only Hecate in this post but I may do more posts with the most important characters to see a comparison)

mythos reflects fiction reflects mythos

So apparently Zeus has spent ten years failing Persephone’s efforts over petty reasons. “Uneven grass”? A zit??? His standards are both high and incredibly unfair. The only thing this punishment is accomplishing is shortening everybody’s fuses.

And then it occurred to me. This is the story of Hades and Persephone. The inciting incidence of their eventual marriage is Hades stealing Persephone away. I’m not a fast-pass person, so I don’t know what the next few chapters are, but considering Zeus’s past decrees (and personality, let’s be honest), he’s probably going to fail Persephone. And considering it’s been ten long years since they’ve seen each other or talked to each other, what if Hades gets so fed-up that he, say, steals her away to the Underworld?
