Keep Smiling Sanji

So Sanji was on the rock with Zeff with nothing to eat for two and a half months.

Before that, he was locked in a cell with an iron mask on for six months.

Before that, he was abused and belittled by the Vinsmokes until his ‘father’ faked his death.

How does he smile on a regular basis? How is he okay?

He had a damn good family on the Baratie, and now he has a damn good family on the Thousand Sunny.

Please, keep smiling Sanji.

Baker, reading from the recipe: Step 1. Make it. It doesn't tell me how.

Artist Peter Cook, grew this living garden chair using tree shaping methods, primarily training a living tree through constricting the direction of branch growth. The chair took about eight years to grow.

he’s wearing crocs

He grew a tree into a chair. He can wear whatever the fuck he wants.

So we know now thanks to shitdad that Sanji inherited his love for cooking from his mom (it’s pretty obvious by what he says), so that question got answered. What I wanted to mention relates to this mysterious mom. So I saw a lot of people saying she might actually be alive, in a similar situation to Sanji’s by the end of the flashback im chapter 840. And that she might die while helping him escape. I agree, and here’s why. I’ve always had this question, ever since Baratie, and I really hope we get an answer soon: where did Sanji get his dream of finding the All Blue?

He had it before he met Zeff and was willing to do anything for it, but why? I think his mother might be the answer. We’ll have to wait and see.

Vampire writers really are not tapping into true potential. Why whine for eternity about their lost humanity or fall in love with a mortal teenager when vampires could like walk to space or some shit

Vampires who finally get all the dead bodies off Mount Everest so they can be buried.

Vampire policemen who can easily walk into danger and rescue others, wearing bullet and stab wounds as badges of honor. Some kid they saved started giving them corks to “plug” the holes, and it’s become a trend, kids decorating plugs to give to their local policemen for the vampire department.

Vampire scientists who can work 24/7 when a new epidemic shows up, or when working in forensics, and then just take a few years off.

Vampire scientists who can research radiation and just get a laptop with internet and wait the few hundred years until they’re safe to be around again, watching tv shows and reading all the books they want to, because yeah, it gets lonely, but they’ll have centuries after to make up for it.

Or maybe they’d be doing it in groups so they don’t end up lonely. Earning their money for the downtime by making it a realityshow. Who needs Big Brother? We got a pile of vampires who have to live together for decades, that’s gonna be drama! If you donate blood this month, you get to choose a challenge for them!

Vampires, guys, Vampires.

I hate when people and Oda himself go with the “well it would be a lot of trouble to draw the scars in every pannel” excuse for not giving the women in One Piece any scars.

What the frickity frackity FUCK

Oda gave Luffy a scar literally in the third page of his manga. Really. First chapter of One Piece. And two pages later there’s Shanks with, oh boy, not one, but three scars in his left eye!!

Male characters with scars are the norm in One Piece. Zoro has a scar in his left eye, one across his chest and another one in each ankle. Franky, Whitebeard, and Luffy’s torso, Rob Lucci’s back, Moria’s neck… Some of the scars Oda draws could be easily covered by clothes but the thing is… the vast majority of characters with scars have face scars. He gives them visible scars and is well aware that when he draws the character he has to give them their scars. Luffy, Zoro, Shanks, Sabo, Garp Crocodile, King Riku, Kid, Smoker… Just as he bothers to draw Dragon’s waffle tattoo, he takes a tiny bit of his precious time to draw all those face scars.

So if you ever come to me with the shitty excuse that Oda doesn’t give scars to women because it would be too much trouble; that he actually removed! Nami’s shoulder scar because it was a pain in the ass drawing it every time, I’m gonna scream BULLSHIT so hard that Blackbeard, Doflamingo and the Vinsmokes are going to raise their heads and wonder if someone just called them.
