Raids in the West Bank are a periodic thing, just poorly documented. Yesterday an Israeli sniper killed a Palestinian who was filming an Israeli raid from his rooftop. The West Bank is far from being exempt from Israel’s terror. Countless people are still detained, healthcare workers included.

Also—predictably—nothing of substance came the Central World Kitchen massacre, despite all the headlines and posturing. Israel fired two officers and reprimanded 6 for their “fatal errors,” but no criminal trials were held and no one was jailed. Reasoning for this fatal judgment? They thought the convoy was Hamas.

Yesterday was Palestinian Children’s Day. By that day Israel has killed 14k+ children, 117 of whom were in the West Bank. 30% of children under 2 are acutely malnourished. 200 children held captive by Israel. 17k+ unaccompanied or separated from their families.

I’d just like to top all this off with this quote, taken directly from Israel’s defense minister at the very start of this genocide. We don’t need to read between the lines to determine what their end goal is, if that hasn’t been made clear. They have always told us, and they continue to tell us outright.

Not even periodic. Since 2020 they've been daily, and most days they've been happening in multiple cities or villages at once PER DAY. I spent years documenting this on my blog.

Dungeon Meshi - Humans and Demi-Humans

I like this because it can be read as a simple classification of biology within the context of a fantasy universe, but there's also a reading of this from a lense of culture and racism.

We know for a fact that orcs in dungeon meshi have been killed by the past and are being rejected by the other races to the point where they're living in caves and dungeons. I don't think the refusal to consider them as humans and classifying them as half monsters is innocent. Bone count seem like a very arbitrary criteria to classify species, and the fact that it was chosen to deny them humanity feels intentional at some level.

I really love Ryoko Kui's approach to fantasy races because it makes you question their definitions. They are not innocent and you shouldn't take them at face value.

I do believe this one is more about culture and language than biology, I think the classification of "they have more bones" is rather a way they found to make orcs and Kobolds into "others" than a biological classification.

There's another comic from the adventurer's bible that I think it's quite telling

Kabru see's Kobolds as "demi-humans" so he has no problem speaking of them in a othering way, but as soon as Laios and Falin do the same for a tribe of tallmen Kabru realizes how bad it sounds.

i think when the companions start saying "I'm so tired i could really use a rest soon" that's the game trying to tell you that you've unlocked a new cutscene at the next long rest but to be frank shart if you start telling me you're really tired with six spell slots and a short rest left I'm not going to believe you. suck it up! we are going TAMA STYLE
