Grief is the only proof that I love and I love well. Love and grief are actually intertwined with each other and as "Akif Kichloo" once wrote, "the opposite of grief is not laughter or happiness or joy. It is love. It is love. It is love."
"Grief is love's souvenir. It's our proof that we once loved. Grief is the receipt we wave in the air that says to the world: Look! Love was once mine. I love well. Here is my proof that I paid the price."
– Glennon Doyle Melton, Love Warrior
i think love is when i put myself to bed even when im tired, and i carry myself up the stairs even though my knees ache. and i think love is when i buy myself a coffee when im broke, and i know that ill get myself back later. and i think love is letting myself love someone, even though i am so scared. love is a heavy thing that carries you as much as you carry it.
nothing to add to this you said it all..
“To make a new world you start with an old one, certainly. To find a world, maybe you have to have lost one. Maybe you have to be lost. The dance of renewal, the dance that made the world, was always danced here at the edge of things, on the brink, on the foggy coast.”
— Ursula K. Le Guin, Dancing at the Edge of the World: Thoughts on Words, Women, Places
“When you’re too close to people, when you spend too much time with them and love them too dearly, sometimes you can’t see them.”
— Tana French

I want to like someone again.
Don’t sacrifice yourself for the sake of the other . Hold your head high. Love is not in the man who treats you cruelly. Love is not in the man who swears at you then cries about it. Love is in the friends who embrace you wholeheartedly. Love is in your mother’s good morning text. Love is in the colleague who asks about your weekend and asks whether you’ve been to any cool art galleries lately. And mostly remember that love is inside of you. Remember that he said “you like loving people, you’re fine, you’ll find someone else” and even though those words stung, he was right. Step outside and see the many people on the path who you can love. Even the stranger on the tube. Even a cat on the street. Love is not a stranger to you. It never was a stranger. It’s your friend. It will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

In the end, life will teach you that you have to put yourself first. You have to listen to your needs and meet them. You need a support system that will empower you and bring you joy. You need hobbies to bring you peace. You need a stable environment so you can pursue and figure out the things you really want. And ultimately you must shed the part of you that craves the validation of society, your family and friends and even your culture and religion. Find out what YOU really want and go get it. Make your time on this earth a joyful one.

U can grieve and still live life. U can miss loving someone and love others. You can hold onto the good moments and simultaneously the bad moments. You can take the learning from a person you let go off and use it for the better. You can love someone and they may not be the right person. You can wish someone the best and love them from a distance. You can think fondly of someone and never talk to them again.. mysteries of the world…
I really would love to make some chai this autumn/winter, even though I’m probably gonna be the only one who will be drinking it..
