To be an intelligent and smart woman who knows her worth, her wants and needs to commit to a romantic relationship, what intimate partner violence is, and also is emotionally mature and self-aware/improving daily, as well has self-respect and high self-estime; it’s almost too much at times. It’s hard for us.
Upon hearing a man talking, we can get disappointed and some times, disgusted. If it’s not that, it’s their subtle behaviors that make us cringe/scare. Lying by omission, entitlement, not standing up when needed, manipulating, not communicating properly, creating distance with no explanation and finally, controlling.
When women recognize controlling behavioral patterns in men, they seclude and further extract themselves from wanting to interact with men.
I don’t know how some women put themselves out there in hopes of finding love, I am constantly reminded that there is only abusive controlling men.
Those who think is this is a generalization, it is. At times, I wish I was unaware of this, that I could blissfully date.
But unfortunately, can’t.
Which is sad.
I’m guilty of knowing too much.
