(tw genocide and intersexism)

i think more perisex ppl should know and understand that there has been a genocide going on far far longer than the past few years. For decades, no, over a century

on intersex ppl

Genocide is the intentional destruction of a group of people. This can include killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. All bc of their real or perceived membership of the group.

All of these, except for the last one, happen to intersex ppl in some way.

We are subjected to abandonment, neglect, infanticide and murder due to being intersex. We face genetic de-selection along with sterilization. We also, as a lot of people know, are usually mutilated, SAd as newborns, and receive involuntary and coercive treatment. We are treated like we're inherently disordered if our intersex aren't taken away, purposely making parents afraid and accept whatever abusive treatment and surgery the doctor suggests. We do not get body autonomy. Many of us purposely avoid care for fear of medical discrimination and due to medicalization and few receive adequate care, as many lack understanding about our bodies and examinations that may cause physical harm. Then ofc all the hate crimes, including the idea that a conbination of "male and female brains" (which obviously dont exist) would produce a sex criminal. 60% of intersex ppl have thoughts about suicide, 42% have thoughts about self-harm, and 19% had attempted suicide on the basis of intersex discrimination. We are not taught about our own bodies then shamed for not knowing. In 2013, four elite woman athletes were subjected to sterilization and genital mutilation after testosterone testing revealed they were intersex.

Even within the queer community, we are only used as human shields against people who want us all dead and by Perisex trans people admitting that they lie to people who want us dead that they're just like us for the false hope that they'll love them. That they're the exception.

But of course, we were never really human, right? We're all just a bunch of freaks.

Shotout to everyone in the LGBTQIAPN+ community: which label do you see às the most disrespected from their own community?

intersex

we're used by pawns by people who should be helping us like we've been helping them, we're constantly forgotten (proof? just look at the poll where despite having the I in the longer acronym, doesn't have it as a standalone option, just as "other", also no intersex tag), people LOVE to speak over us about our own oppression, the whole "naturally nonbinary animal" thing, the whole thing where perisex trans ppl said they're going to lie and say they have a hormone disorder bc that'll totally get the people who hate people who are different in either gender or sex to love you /sarc, the whole "oh so cis (intersex) children can get (be forced) on hormones/get surgery (usually get medically abused, SAd as young as a newborn, and/or mutilated bc cant have children that look different) because they have an early period (that can lead to serious health complications and... in this day and age, in the U.S., do you seriously want an 8 year old to have the ability to get pregnant???)" thing, and just so, so much more

A fun fact is that "can trans men be lesbians" discourse isn't nonexistent, but it's so much less obnoxious in the real world. I'm a bigender trans man, and I'm actually not comfortable with the lesbian label, but most of my offline friends have said that I have every right to identify as a lesbian if I want to. They understand that my gender is weird and complex and that means my sexuality might be weird and complex too, and if I was a lesbian bigender trans man, they would accept me because their brains haven't been consumed by discourse and radical feminism.

They were also entirely fine with me referring to my past self as a lesbian and did not act as though I was ruining lesbianism with my evil man germs

"you can be a girlboy/boygirl, you just can't be a boy!" / "you can be girlboy/boygirl, you just can't be a girl!"

i am blowing you up with my mind

literal fucking genocide happening right now:

transphobic/anti multigender/anti lesboy and turigirl and anti mspec mono: I'm about to say the most transphobic and anti-history shit ever

honestly, the ppl who are against multigender labels like turigirl and lesboy are so obviously infested with TERF ideology (yes, even if they're trans themselves or even if they're multigender themselves) cuz its like: "your not gay because you're a girl so you're obviously straight!"

like... im literally a man who loves men... by your own logic I can't be straight, right? Plus even though i use turigirl, I'm not a girl

"so just call yourself bi instead of being so confused!"

but im not bi? I'm attracted to men..

like,, if y'all are going to say you're not transphobic maybe dont use well known transphobic phrases??

Just keep your f/os if they still make you happy! You can age them up with you, or keep the ship in high school to write about even when you grow up. Sure, some people might get mad, but you know yourself best, and selfshipping is for fun and enjoyment, you don't have to forcibly separate yourself from them because of some other people's ideas about what it "says about you," they'd probably say all self-shipping is bad anyways.

thank you! I was unsure

i wish there was a way to get nbs to internalize the fact that Black people aren't a joke/don't exist just for their entertainment that didn't require a detailed list of Top 100 Popular Anti-Black Jokes You've Probably Laughed At This Year!

they see posts or hear Black people talk about it and think "oh of course they aren't who would think that," not realizing how pervasive this mindset is and how many popular jokes/memes are 100% based on Black people/culture, without doing any self-inspection and wondering why they think jokes are funnier in AAVE or long fake lashes and nails and big lips are something to judge and laugh at. all the time, without fail, we'll just be living our lives and nbs will turn whatever we're doing into a viral meme, and they never realize how fucked up it is because they always assume we're not talking about them

nbs. please do some deep thinking about the things you find entertaining. learn the signs of this kind of discrimination. and stop expecting us to politely inform you every time this happens so you can go "wow! I didn't know that!" like casual racism's a fun little tidbit and not a serious issue you should try a lot harder to be aware of and stop perpetuating. we're tired.

(nbs can reblog but think before you speak)

why have us queer people as a community normalized terms like "boygirl" or "girlboy" or other things like that but not like. the actual experience of being multigender. i swear some people will be like "ahaha its so cool and swag to be a #girlboy #boygirl" then turn around and be like "MEN DNI THIS POST IS ABOUT WOMEN" "MEN CANT BE LESBIANS (because no man is ever a woman too)" etc etc like come on guys

OKAY SO this is wrong as heck. why i explain in the tags because im a genius

see, you're proving what i said in the post. i am 100% a man, a boy, a male, a masc aligned person, whatever. i am also 100% a woman and fem aligned person. i shouldn't be allowed into a community of women? i AM a woman. i AM a fem aligned person. why are nonbinary people who are neither accepted, but not nonbinary people who are both? lesbians are attracted to women. i am a woman. would i not be allowed in lesbian communities because i'm not JUST a woman? what if i was dating a lesbian? would their lesbian attraction to me not be valid, even though i'm a woman? would i not be allowed to interact with the lesbian community, even though i'm a woman?

i would like to ask you what harm this actually does. if i, a man, were hypothetically a lesbian. in this scenario, i find myself happy and surrounded by other wlw people; i feel like i've found a community that truly understands my love for women, which was my entire reasoning for joining the lesbian community. but i'm a man. what does that do? some people feel uncomfortable. some people block me (which is good - curate your online experience). would my participation be telling people that they aren't lesbians and invalidating their identity? would my participation lead to lesbians getting harassed or assaulted in their day to day life? would that be discriminating against lesbians by treating them unfairly or being prejudiced against them? would that be somehow forcing lesbians to date people they aren't attracted to? why is it lesbophobic to be a lesbian?

i noticed you said that the entire point of having a "safe space" is to get away from men. so many people in the queer community see men as inherently unsafe, violent, aggressive, etc. this is gender essentialism - radfem rhetoric. men are the enemy, and out to get you, just because they're a man. not based on their behavior, or the choices they make, just being a man (which they cannot control) makes them the enemy. simply the act of being a man makes them unsafe to be allowed in "women's spaces", even if they themselves are a woman. but even if they aren't women, manhood is not inherently evil. but this doesnt just apply to the whole "men can't be lesbians" discourse. why are we separating "spaces" based on gender to begin with? transgender people have been hurt by this for a long time. why are we trying to force nonbinary people to conform to what we think nonbinary people SHOULD look like? the queer community tries to separate gender into three neat little boxes: masc, fem, and neither. you've said it yourself, people who are neither are welcome in lesbian spaces, or whatever other gendered spaces. but people who are both AREN'T. that's what my original post was about. being nonbinary isn't just a Third Gender. some people are genuinely just agender, but there are so many other ways to be nonbinary. this idea of "fem aligned people" vs "masc aligned people", with masc aligned people being the enemy and unsafe and not allowed in the girls only club- uh i mean fem aligned people club- just sounds like gender roles and gender essentialism with a "progressive" label on top of it. you are excluding people like me by saying that only people who fit neatly into your ideas of what a woman or nonbinary person look like are welcome. you haven't actually learned to accept people who have identities that are "strange" to you, you just redefined what normal identities are. you internalized that agender/neutral/"neither" nonbinary people are normal, but not other types of nonbinary people who CAN'T be sorted into those gender roles. you reject people if they don't fit your idea of what they SHOULD be like, regardless of their actions. that's prejudice and discrimination.

it's not xyzphobic to let people decide what labels best apply to your identity. it's not transphobic to say that trans men are allowed to apply traditionally feminine labels to themselves if they want to, or vice versa. it's not lesbophobic to say that people are allowed to decide that the word "lesbian" best describes their experience. what IS xyzphobic is making those decisions for them. you know what transphobes do? they decide what labels apply to trans people. they don't let the individual decide for themselves what their identity is, or what language applies to them; they decide FOR them. they keep transgender people outside of communities that the transgender person WANTS to be part of, just because of their identity. queer people do this to each other too. i have to question every day whether i will be welcome in a queer space, or if i'll be rejected because of my identity, EXACTLY the way i have to worry about if non-queer people will reject me for my queer identity. i come to queer spaces to find people who are like me, who will accept me, and there i see blatant discrimination against people like me. THAT is my point. we can do better guys

I initially just replied to this but I feel like I have to address it in a reblog as well. Yes, transphobes would say that a non-binary person or a bigender person couldn't identify as lesbian. That's true, nobody's disagreeing with that. But as long as corrective rape exists, lesbian femmes are going to need safe spaces from masculinity to be able to heal. That doesn't mean every single lesbian space has to be free from masculine energy, it just means that some of them will be. And if it really bothers you that much, then when they tell you you're excluded from that space, you leave and make your own space. As a Black non-binary femme autistic lesbian, I'm used to having to make my own spaces because I'm not accepted into the ones that already exist. Guess what? The spaces I make for myself often invite other people who are struggling with the same things I am and we can heal together. You don't have to have every single space to be open to you. That's such a fucking privileged take, especially coming from somebody who's in a marginalized group.

TLDR: If they don't want you there, fucking leave.

i’m sorry but what the FUCK.

there’s so much to unpack here but one of the things is, do you think only femme lesbians experience corrective rape?????? actually two bc do you think only women can be femme?????? what is going on here.

I am going to say this as gently as possible, but people do not get a warning when your header is seizure- or migraine-inducing. We don't know that your blog has a flashing gif right at the top until we click on it for whatever reason. There is no way to be aware of that ahead of time, no way to filter or block or hide it, no way to prepare ourselves.

Like when you put something like that in a completely unavoidable part of your blog, the very first thing that people are going to see when they clock your URL, then you are actively choosing to put disabled people in danger. I know that's not anyone's intention, but this shit isn't a joke. I cannot stand up right now. The combination of eye strain and flashing gifs that people cover their blogs and carrds with have fucked me up so badly that I have been thrown into such a bad migraine attack that I am too weak to stand. There is a very good chance that I'm going to throw up.

So just like. Be aware of how those things are affecting people who visit your blog. Please.

Please leave the internet you’re literally self harming with what you’re viewing on here

what? if you're talking about "doomscrolling" or whatever its called, i literally dont do that?

If you're just trying to be transphobic then well.. you have got to try harder than that lmao

also the Internet is literally the only place i can interact with people...bc im disabled, so i can assure you that being on the Internet is way less harmful then being almost completely isolated from the world
