I’ve mentioned before that Uzi is surprisingly selfless. She helps n and Thad when they’re in danger at the risk of her own life, heals the roach though it would worsen her overheating, and is open to her father’s attempts to heal their bond come episode 4.
I also can’t help but feel like V is a foil to her (not to the extent of doll, but still). I like the contrast between the two. V is selfish. She doesn’t care about the lives of the workers, she only wants to kill and eat to keep herself alive. She wants Uzi dead so her own insecurity and physical dangers posed by Cyn’s possession are laid to rest. She doesn’t care about Uzi as a person or how Cyn is affecting her mental state. She does seem to care about N to some extent (that conversation in ep3 felt way too genuine to be a farce), but it’s not about him. She’s driven by doing what SHE thinks is best for N, not wanting to hear out his side of things or let him be independent (sounds like khan, which further emphasizes the foil between her and Uzi).
But Uzi is tempted by selfishness. She has to resist the cravings her infection gives her, and try and accept help from those around her. Meanwhile, V is resisting the pull to become more selfless. Her budding friendship with Lizzy, her protectiveness of N slowly turning into care for him as a person, her having needed to be saved from danger twice now and having trouble acknowledging or accepting it.
God I fucking love this show
We only got 4 episodes and its some of the deepest shows I've seen. I've seen people make so SO many theories and discoveries about how many layers there are.
I swear the amount of depth to murder drones is about the equivalent to the challengers deep.
