I'm Cari. Many years ago I authored End of Infinity. I'm rarely here, and wish I could swap out my main blog for my art one. You can find me at any of the methods of contact listed here.

as a female-presenting person, seeing @staff @support lightly mock our frustration with “female-presenting nipples” in their latest post is extremely disheartening, and i sincerely hope that they start to seriously consider our feedback instead of insulting it

you don’t get to decide that my body is sexual while another individual’s body isn’t simply because of my sex (which i don’t even identify with! what do my nonbinary presenting nipples mean?). you don’t get to make me sexual without my consent

my body is not porn

i do not exist to be a sexual object, stop treating me like one

A lot of good it did them to even bother specifying, because they flagged this on my art blog, which didn’t even show male nipples nor genitals; not sure why they’re even going into detail if those guidelines for what’s “ok” aren’t being followed in the first place.

New character today! His name is Cläus Jäsz Joplin who will be in the next episode of the series The Reward - Tales of Alethrion. Thanks to our great backer Cari who created it and then Kenneth re-designed it in The Reward style.

His name is Cläus Jäsz Joplin, he’s a airmail carrier that got stuck in a dream world where you take on characteristics of your spirit animal (his is Canis). He’s from http://endofinfinity.com/comic/

He’s a pretty fun and energetic character, normally friendly but will be brash or make outbursts if pushed, wouldn’t hold up well at all in a fight– would probably get frustrated, panic, and be worthless, and lastly he cannot read.

Fantastic! Thanks again, guys! :D

Hello Most-Patient-Supporters. As many of you know I’ve been side-tracked, working on a new project with Glitch’s head artist Kukubee. I couldn’t pass up another opportunity to work with him! It’s a game by Spry Fox  called Road Not Taken that will be released on Playstation and Steam. Sony recently published a post that I wrote about making the audio for that game on their blog. I’m close to wrapping that project up and have vowed not to take on another project until your perks have been shipped!

I’m still enjoying going through all of the music that was created for Glitch. The biggest challenge has been going through the ambient music that will appear on the Soundscapes album. Now that I’ve got a pretty good grip on most of those tracks, it’s a pleasure to turn to some of the more succinct tracks that will appear on the Variations portion of the Soundtrack. Here’s a peak at some of those (these embeds might not work on your mobile device):

One of the most fun things about making the music for Glitch was getting to work with all of these great musicians you hear on Rainbow Run and Game of Crowns. I’ll take the time to tell you all about them in a future post.

Enjoy!

really looking forward to Toad Not Taken

man, though. really hope everything ships before i move overseas

Seaholm Power Plant, Austin Texas.

Art Deco with Art Moderne influences, constructed entirely of site-cast concrete.

Construction began in 1951 and was completed in 1955, and is currently undergoing renovations to be re-purposed as a shopping center by adding a new tower of apartments as well as a library and parking structure that will help integrate it into Austin's current foot traffic patterns.

It has been designated as a historical landmark and will be preserved, and thankfully so; when I was leaving Austin it looked as if the power plant was being torn down to make way for the (rather hideous) apartment tower.

Otakon is actually from August 9th to the 11th this year

But I'll be in Argentina from the 7th til the 20th though lol

Hey cari, are you by chance making it out to Otakon?

Avatar

Sorry, I'm not. I'm spending two weeks in Argentina in July, which overlaps with both AX and Otakon. Maybe next year, though! :)

I love this story and I can't wait to see what happens next! My question is where do you live and how long have you lived there?

Hi there! Glad to hear you enjoy it!

Currently in Austin, Texas.

I'm originally from the S.F. Bay Area. Spent High School in Chicago, moved to Utah for work, then left in September 2012 for work here in Texas.

I'm really digging Austin a lot. 10/10 would recommend. It's a lot like the Bay Area but warmer and sunnier.
