Alright I need to write this shit here because I am on a Cyberpunk kick. Specifically I hate how people think of cyberpunk music and go "GOOOHHH DUDE LOOK SYNTHWAVE, I LOVE TECHNO-DARKWAVE MUSIC"
When thats not correct at all
The music of cyberpunk is NOT Synthwave. Synthwave is too sleek and perfect and dreamy for a world where everyone is poor, lives in shitty apts, and eats dog kibble because real ingredients are too expensive.
People kill and die in broad daylight and it gets worse at night.
Everything serves a corporate interest.
You're on your own and the whole world is against you. It's maddening, it's lonely, and it's slavery without putting people in chattles.
And I hate all these videos shown below where it's ambient techno or electro, because its not CYBERPUNK
Because pretty neon lights in a city isn't a genre
So then what is cyberpunk music?
You're probably asking yourself...
Well the answer is simply Punk rock. Yeah, the second part of tge name isn't just for show!!! It's deliberate! Punk rock, metal, and any alt music that fits the vibe of greed, malice, truth, insanity, violence, war, fighting, grit, or even just chipping in.
So yeah fuck Synthwave, garbage music sounds all the same anyway.
