So, let me see if I've got this straight.

When Overwatch 2 launched last October, it was framed by Blizzard as a PvP-only early access preview of a game which would eventually include a substantial PvE campaign, to be added in a later patch.

Today, Blizzard's representatives admitted not only that the PvE campaign mode has been scrapped, but that the internal decision to do so was made in late 2021 – meaning they'd been knowingly lying about the game's planned feature set for nearly a year at the time of the October 2022 early access launch.

Is that about the size of it?

"Well actually PvE technically isn't scrapped because Overwatch 2 will still have standalone, time-limited PvE story missions" yeah, bro, the first game already had those. The PvE campaign mode is literally the primary justification Blizzard has been citing all this time for releasing the new stuff as a sequel rather than a content pack DLC – they claimed the original game's engine couldn't handle what they had planned for the PvE campaign, so they had to start over from scratch. The trick is, they continued to publicly cite this justification for over a year after they'd already decided to scrap the PvE campaign.

So Deltarune is really fucking good. It's really funny, the gays are getting everything they ever wanted, and it expands on the Mechanics of Undertale in a really natural and fun way. The artstyle slaps hard and the music is amazing. It is a huge step forward from Undertale in every conceivable way ((which, if I may add, I adore with all my heart.))
