I really went over the top with the hair lol. Ohh I dunno if this will work for everyone due to style differences, but I usually start with a line to indicate his part:
the fringe is the hardest part, even the animators can’t get it right sometimes.
flicky bits of hair I start around ear level.
those 3 bits of the fringe I usually start with to help me figure out how the rest should sit.
It’s not fool proof but it’s my go to when I’m not using reference.

Originally, I was going to have the background be something cute and soft in reflection of Kagome’s warm character, but it somehow turned out to be more like a magical lightning storm than a kind breeze lol.
