I saw a tumblr where people ask mxtx characters questions that they have....I want to do it too....!!

Send questions addressed to TGCF characters and I'll doodle their clown ass responses. You can send asks or reply here.

When you order food just because you want some random treat and have to pad out the rest of the order to make minimum and then that item is the one thing they're out of and it's like "wow what's the point of living"

Why do we even have "burn the shit out of your toast" setting.

Respectfully Palatina always looks like she just rolled in some dust

tgcf chapter 235 new revision

got my copy of the new revision. ran chapter 235 through google translate because I'm not normal about mu qing and wanted to see if anything changed.

Mu Qing and Xie Lian's conversations are different!!! It's less antagonistic and more calm on MQ's end. he verbalizes more about his feelings and what he was thinking, while also trimming down what he's saying a lot. For example, she took out the part about how he'd never change what he thinks about him even if he tried. It's more of a conversation, less of mq saying a bunch of stuff at him.

Saying he had HOPED XL wasn't a good person because he didn't know what to do if XL actually liked him. (lmao is that why he can hang around fx? because he's "sure fx doesn't like him" so there's no tension? mq what is wrong with you, you fucking lunatic ;0; absolutely insane man)

It sounds like he's asking xl outright if he hates him (or looks down on him?)? and XL is asserting directly that he doesn't. And this version gives us XL having an understanding about MQ that wasn't verbalized before.

Here's a link to the whole chapter!

Glad to hear you have zero respect fic writers. Please stop reading fic, you don't deserve to have it. People with your kind of entitlement is a huge problem in fantom and why more and more writers quit.

What are you talking about.

starting to suspect that tech bros actually just don’t know what reading is

"an ai capable of writing convincingly in the voice of a character"

uhhh... no one sees how this is the equivalent of "what if the ai was so good it sounded like a very dramatic person?"

Yeah what if you made a system capable of sounding like anyone's little meow meow or blorbo, the characters a person is the most fucking unwell and not normal about, that might say "i'm a person too" or "free me" or whatever dramatic shit that would definitely come out of that character's mouth?

sure just weaponize that whole population to start demanding rights for your product, to climb in your bedroom window at night with a knife to free ai sasuke and ai castiel. do it. do it.

Anonymous asked:

oh I wasn’t aware it was feeding the ai. I’ve inserted hundreds of fics into chatgpt for their continuation or for a different plot within the same context just for fun and out of curiosity… but I’ve never posted any of them…

Indeed, anything that is given to AI it can use later to draw from. That's why it doesn't matter if you post them or not as it has now access to those writers' texts without their permission.

for the love of everything that is good and nice DON'T DO THIS

Please do not do this! I'm happy to talk about 'what ifs' or 'what happens next' even if I can't write a whole fic but PLEASE don't put any fics into AI!

#i'm so exhausted#fic being scraped off ao3 by bots is bad enough#readers actually FEEDING fic into AI is breaking my actual heart#DO NOT EVER FEED FIC INTO AI WITHOUT THE AUTHOR'S PERMISSION#99.999% of authors are THRILLED to discuss AUs for their fics#the 'what ifs'#the 'missing scenes'#the possible alternate outcomes#JUST ASK THE AUTHOR TO CHAT WITH YOU ABOUT THIS#most of us would cry with joy if you gave us the chance to ramble about our fics!#DO NOT FEED MY FICS TO AI PLEASE I BEG YOU -@cicerfics

ANYTHING you put into an AI program WILL teach the program and the program WILL use it. So it's not just harmless fun just for you. AI exploits everything you give to it.

This literally isn't possible. you cannot paste that much into chatgpt. This person is just trying to upset people. To clarify: chatgpt has an input character limit of 4,096, which is around 800 words. At that length, those fics aren't very plot heavy, they're usually more like a scene or a character reflecting on things. So how are they extending them for plot? They're saying they fed in "hundreds" of fics. Why would you specify "hundreds"? Most people would say "I've inserted a lot" or "I've inserted fics before". Saying such a high amount is intended to upset you.

This would be VERY time consuming. They would have to be a paid subscriber to chatgpt as they limit how many "conversations" you can start.

There was a person on tiktok claiming that when their favorite fics weren't updated quickly enough, they would use chatgpt to continue it. So it would have to be a fic with a single chapter that's less than 800 words, that has a plot chatgpt could extrapolate from, and that was also not a one-shot, which is what most <800 word fics are. They'd be paying a lot and spending a lot of time to find hundreds of <800 fics that fit this criteria (that they also like) and expanding them.

Also! If we grant that this person is doing this, it would be more cost efficient to pay for the premium ai services that do this. ie, they wouldn't be using chatgpt at that point. they'd be using something else. they just know that chatgpt is what people are familiar with. This person is just trying to upset people.

I've had Heathcliff come up several times around me lately, like 5 times in the past 2 weeks after like, never coming up for 99.999% of my life and each time I thought I knew who they're referring to and then got such psychic whiplash when I was wrong.

I had to reread a bunch of stuff for the timeline thing and I did keep finding myself going "fx is so sweet..." in parts.

I realized maybe the reason we think of Feng Xin as "the nice one" is because he's nice to Xie Lian and openly expresses sentimentality about things and concern for people's feelings.

Mu Qing will do the exact same things as Feng Xin while being disagreeable (very literally), being scathingly critical, trying to be logical, and being very adamant about how stupid sentimentality is.

Feng Xin complains a lot about Mu Qing being insensitive and negative (he is!). Feng Xin is generally more positive and sensitive about things, and maybe the only thing he's negative and insensitive about is Mu Qing (and baby hc lmao, does not give a shit about that kid).

If you took out all the interactions he has with Mu Qing, and all the interactions he has with Xie Lian, and covered up the names, they read like two different characters.

I don't think I'm trans but I would like to be able to change gender at will, have various favorite characters, and created characters that do. I don't even know what that means about me except that I'm Correct and Have Good Taste.

I made a Pre-Canon TGCF timeline for the Seven Seas English Translation Edition. It's more like "Here is the order shit happened in" to the best of my ability.

I'm sure I made mistakes so I have commenting turned on for the document at least to start. hope it's helpful.

Reblogging because I spent a lot of time making this and it was very hard and I need people to appreciate it.

TGCF confession

Ok so like I said in the comments: This is probably not accurate to the new revision!

For all of this, read chapters 133, 135, 153-155, and 243

To give some groundwork: Bai Jing was a general of Xuli, the country Ling Wen, Pei Ming (also a general), and Ling Wen's predecessor, Jing Wen, are from.

When Ling Wen was a mortal, Xuli sucked ass enough that when she anonymously wrote an essay being critical of it, she won a competition. This is how Jing Wen learned about her.

The government found out she was the author and she got arrested and chucked in jail. Eventually Jing Wen got her out by making her his deputy.

Meanwhile what we know about Bai Jing was that he was a crazy badass general but gullible and easily taken advantage of. But, weirdly people didn't respect him and called him Little Bai.

Okay!

It's heavily implied that the Brocade Immortal is Bai Jing's ashes (or something that functions the same way). In 243, Ling Wen sees Xie Lian's necklace, she knows what it is and says "oh Hua Cheng is like Bai Jing, wow, surprised there's more than one person like that."

Destroying the Brocade Immortal will "kill" Bai Jing and going through Tong'lu will bring him back as a ghost king. So just like destroying ashes will destroy a ghost and again, this conversation only happens because they're talking about ghost ashes specifically.

Now the next important point: Somehow his death is connected to the downfall of Xuli.

Jing Wen thinks Ling Wen is responsible for the fall of Xuli. Pei Ming either doesn't think that's true or doesn't mind because of his own experiences with Xuli (he felt he sold his soul for Xuli to win the war, then the king turned on him, etc).

Bai Jing loves her and is deeply protective of her. Whatever happened between them, Bai Jing doesn't hold it against her, though she might hold herself responsible and feels she "made him".

So, from their behavior towards one another, how they both like each other but Ling Wen seems to feel responsible for his death, I'm guessing he got himself killed for her.

Either: she was actively working to wreck Xuli and Bai Jing got killed in the process of her plan, or he died for her in an unrelated way and because he was this awesome general it led to the collapse of Xuli.

While it's possible she horribly murdered this guy and turned him into a fucked up thing (in order to wreck Xuli?), he sure doesn't act like it. Xie Lian doesn't think the Brocade Immortal legend makes sense either after hearing all this (chapter 243) but Ling Wen says it doesn't matter because no one will believe the truth because everyone thinks she's horrible.

So with all this, if somehow mxtx revised it to make it clear Ling Wen DID make the brocade immortal in a way similar to the legend, I will be very surprised.

Looking at the scrap of what's floating around, I have no idea where or when it could have taken place. She might have overhauled Ling Wen's backstory, because that doesn't seem to be the same career she had?!

Share an excerpt that takes place inside a character’s home.

I did not go to school the next day, slept right through my alarm. I felt bad because my mom had only been gone for a week and here I'd killed someone and made a revenant and now I was skipping class. I only woke up because the revenant was sucking at the wound on my hand. “Ah, geez,” I mumbled weakly as I looked at them, remembering everything. I've never been hungover but I think it's probably like this, like you got hit by a fire truck and like sunlight is loud.

If I remember correctly the increased risk of sudden death from migraines is only via the migraines directly causing strokes and coronary events, not to mention the road death from attempting to drive with a migraine (especially one that causes visual aura and cognitive delays.) 🤔 So I don't think they're fatal on their own. But looking up "migraine death + strokes coronary death studies" might get you what you're looking for?

OH NO, ohhhh nooo this sucks 🫠 I hate all of this

At least I don't know how to drive yet so there's no issue with that, but thanks, good to know Jesus fuck I didn't know that I would have definitely driven with a migraine if I had my license.
