Bruce: NEVER BACK DOWN, NEVER WHAT?
Y/N: *sobbing* NEVER GIVE UP
i promise you being polite isnt that hard try it for once
the sun literally sets and casts a golden hue over everything every single day and we fucked it all up and invented paying rent
i love paintings that look as if they have ghosts in them
this painting by andrew wyeth has got SO many ghosts in it. most andrew wyeth paintings have ghosts in, but this is off the scale!
this painting by dragan bibin has only one ghost as far as i can tell, but it's a really scary ghost (the dog thinks so too)
this painting by meraud guevara looks very peaceful, but unfortunately it has a ghost in it. i can't tell you where, but it does
you might think you can see the ghosts in this dorothea tanning painting, but you're wrong. the little girls are just ordinary girls. the actual ghost is behind one of those doors.
marvin cone. for fucks sake just look at it
Y'all they reintroduced kākāpō to mainland Aotearoa and I can't get over the photo of this little guy preparing for his Air New Zealand flight. They packed him snacks??? His water bowl says "only top quality"??? You're so right babe he is top quality 🥺🥺
SET FIVE - ROUND ONE - MATCH TWO
"Uffington White Horse" (c.1380-550 BCE) / Chauvet Cave Bear (30,000 and 32,000 BP)
The bear is beautiful but the story of people caring for the horse for millennia is what really gets to me. It's just so fucking beautiful and human in the best way.
SET FIVE - ROUND ONE - MATCH THREE
"Laocoön and His Sons" (c.27 BCE-68 CE - attributed to Agesander, Athenodoros, and Polydorus) / "Winged Victory of Samothrace" (c. 200-190 BCE)
pro-winged nike propaganda here: the staging and placement of the statue at the louvre really does so much (pictures by me ~june 2016)
she’s in the center of three staircases, one coming up from the ground floor and two coming down from the floor above on either side, so when you start walking up the stairs you see her rise over the top like the prow of a ship
she’s enormous, framed between the staircases, and the flow of the wings and the skirt is absolutely stunning and i Did genuinely tear up coming up those steps for the first time
Look the Laocoon is a stunning piece and when I saw it was here I thought this would be an easy vote but when I saw it was against Winged Victory there was no question. I'm in love with her, she's amazing, she's stunning, she's half missing but overwhelmingly powerful.

No one wants to admit this but you don’t actually have to eat eggs and dairy for breakfast. Farmers just did that because they’d milk the cows and collect eggs in the morning. You can literally make a sandwich or a bowl of pasta or really anything you want for breakfast. There isn’t some medical reason you have to eat cereal and milk or fried eggs in the morning—our idea of “breakfast food” is an entirely artificial construct. Do what makes you happy.
This goes both ways too! "Breakfast for dinner" was a special occasion meal growing up, but now that we're in charge of our own food, we do it pretty often. If you want eggs and bacon for dinner, go nuts. Food has no time limit.
i post for people who feel like they’re inherently unlikable to others without being able to tell what the reason is
"Clothes have no gender" people when they see an actual gender nonconforming person
