Kipland Kinkel killed his parents and went on to kill 2 students and wounded 25 more in May 1998.
There have been many documentaries and sites providing information about the shootings and the trial, but - with the exception of current appeals - not much has been known about Kip during his 17+ years served.
After looking around and gathering information from people who correspond with Kip, here are some facts that people may not know:
• Kip is currently residing in Oregon State Correctional Institution, after being transferred from the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility at 24.
• Had an ‘altercation’ with 3 other inmates in the beginning of his stay in a medical sec.
• Received 28 days in ‘the hole’ for said altercation.
• During his time in both facilities, he has earned his High School Diploma, Community College Diploma and a BA in Liberal Arts.
• He has (still does?) worked as an apprentice electrician while in OSCI.
• Enjoys working out at the gym, usually for approx 2 hours a day.
