Corsage ornament made in 1900 by Alphonse Mucha and Georges Fouquet for the Exposition Universelle in Paris.
It’s hard to find information about this piece…whether it was a brooch, pectoral or a stand. So this information may not be 100% completely correct but it’s pieced together from what I’ve found. This piece might have been sold in 1997 but I’m not sure, as mentioned in this article. More great pictures here at this fantastic site. The black & white photo is the jewelry stand for Georges Fouquet at the 1900 exposition. The top pic is a study for the design.
