You have bewitched me body and soul.
- Pride and Prejudice (2005) dir. Joe Wright
Hey, you know what criminal justice would be for me? My son not wasting his life. You can be whatever you wanna be. You’re brilliant, man. Absolute best of the best. I can’t sit here and watch you run in place in Central City for some old dude who’s not going anywhere. Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / Flash in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)
Jipyeong concerned for Dal Mi hitting her head when he sees her constantly bash her own head on purpose
it really did feel like they weren’t acting in this scene. turns out, they were all genuinely making it and genuinely laughing at suzy because hers were enormous.
Note: Kim Seon Ho took Suzy’s to show Kim Hae Sook and they’re laughing at the difference but her character is blind at this point.
- you’re my first love. your letters comforted me for a long time - she won’t get hurt. i’ll make sure she doesn’t.

It’s cruel that I got to spend so much time with James and Lily, and you so little. But remember, the ones who love us never truly leave us.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) | dir. Alfonso Cuarón
You must know… surely, you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I’d scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love–I love–I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE dir. Joe Wright
Leave Katara Alone
I’ve been seeing a lot of hate on Katara on the internet and it’s really bothering me. So let’s get the record straight on the lies and shit being tossed around about Katara.
1. Katara is whiny and talks incessantly about her deceased mother and makes it out to be worse than the others’ trauma
Okay, let’s start with the big one. Katara actually doesn’t bring her mother up as much as it’s made out to be. In fact, Zuko brings up his honor WAY more but the big difference here is that you don’t see him get anywhere near the same hate Katara gets for bringing up her mother. And when she does bring up her mother it’s during emotional moments where people are opening up about their personal trauma. Also, people act like Katara’s mother’s death isn’t that traumatic. But here’s the thing: Katara’s mother didn’t die from natural causes. She was murdered, specifically burned alive. In front of Katara, who was eight-year-olds. During a violent raid by colonizers who’ve had a history of committing genocide. That’s traumatic for anyone let alone a small child. Katara is traumatized by this and she is 14-years-old and still dealing with that trauma during a war. But Katara has never used this trauma to invalidate other people’s trauma. If anything she uses her experiences to understand and help others with their own trauma, like when she helps Aang calm down from the Avatar state when he discovers monk Gyatso’s skeleton. Katara’s own grief makes her a kind and loving person.
2. Katara’s anger towards Zuko is undeserving and she blames him for her mother’s death
Where? Where did she blame him? She only mentioned it when he asks her what he can do to earn her forgiveness and she says (sarcastically) “Maybe you could bring back my mother”. And Katara had every right and reason to be as angry and distrustful towards Zuko. She opened up to him and shared her vulnerabilities and personal feelings and even offered to heal his scar but he then betrayed her and took part in almost killing Aang. That’s an extremely devastating major betrayal. Zuko did change for the better but Katara still had a right to be raw about his betrayal. By no means does she HAVE to or should. She forgives him when he finally earns that forgiveness and trust. When someone is hurt so deeply they should not be expected to forgive the person automatically and they do not deserve to be dissed for their refusal to forgive.
3. Katara was petty for being frustrated with Aang for getting ahead of her so quickly
Here’s the thing: Katara had spent her whole life practicing her waterbending and it was tough for her especially since she had no teachers. She got to where she was through hard work and determination. She was meant to be Aang’s teacher in waterbending for these reasons. So of course it was frustrating to see Aang, who had never before waterbended, suddenly become so good at it. She didn’t hate Aang but it bothered her that he got ahead of her so easily while she worked so hard and Aang was not making it much easier for her when he acted like he was the expert which was demeaning for her. She only got better when she had to resort to stealing a waterbending scroll from pirates. It was even worse when she got to the North Pole and he was accepted but she was denied simply because she was a girl. Personally, this kind of represents sexism irl to me: while the guy benefits and succeeds the woman is left with minimum success no matter how hard she has worked or how much effort and dedication she puts in. This reflects the frustration a lot of women have pent up from years of being ignored and undermined in favor of their male colleagues.
