Hi there! I'm Minutia. I write fanfiction, make fanmixes, draw the occasional fanart, and burble on about fannish things. I also do other things, but not with this identity.

made a playlist for my book which is coming out in a month, mostly themed around lesbians lying and making ill advised gambles. i welcome additions of other songs about lesbians lying and making ill advised gambles https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6f7DFj5CYGlWug5zO3UC2T?si=dc11befb33844941

(ps spotify doesn't have the best lesbian cover of Luck Be A Lady that I've found to date, but YouTube does and it's this one. spotify also doesn't have the song that was Literally Written About My Book by one of my most talented friends but YouTube also does and you should listen to it)

(pps if you are interested in a free copy of said book there is currently an ongoing Goodreads giveaway situation)

This is the coolest thing that happened is a long, long time, and I'm sorry that most of you guys don't speak Hungarian because you're having to miss out on this.

"Nem" is a really weird dense bold autobiographical novel written by thirty-year-old Lili Kemény. In tumblr terms, it's about overcoming former-gifted-kid syndrome, but really it's not about that at all. It's about a talented and successful teen who begins to see her "artistic accomplishments" as shiny insubstantial party tricks, rejects the premises of her parents and her parents' generation, sets out to create art that she herself considers good and real, then spends the next decade repeatedly falling on her face. She experiments with live music, poetry, literary translation, filmmaking, theatre, civil disobedience and true love, then strings all those failures and partial successes together into a narrative about learning how to think. And reading her book will make you think, even if at times you will think, "damn, I really disagree with Lili Kemény."

Another interesting feature of this book is that I'm in it as a minor character. I think I can say this without doxxing myself, since like half of Budapest appears in it at one point or another. Seriously my handful of Hungarian followers, go buy it.

Nem is a revolutionary book. Its subject is contemporary reality as a set of symptoms.

Its antagonist: popular opinion.

Its setting: the various boundaries of private and public life.

Its weapon: an absence of self-defence.

This dragon dicetray is inspired by the trans pride flag. I really love how the colours work together on this one, what do you think? The pattern itself is by urbanthreads.
