what do you think happens at camp?
•Aphrodite cabin giving other demigods facials and taking them out for massages to bring out their inner glow - Percy gets an under the sea clay facial and annabeth takes multiple pictures
•Hephaestus cabin building forts during snow storms that are insanely intricate with snow ball cannon launchers•all the demigods having Polaroid cameras since technology is a radar and most cameras these days have GPS - Percy takes a Polaroid of annabeth and him everywhere - Leo takes a picture of him and the whole gang everywhere because he feels like he finally has a family that cares for him
It had been just hours since Annabeth had walked up to Percy and told him they were having a baby. Now, Percy was sitting on his bed, a pencil and paper in his hand. He presses the pencil against the paper and begins to write for his daughter or son. For the child who he will pass his legacy onto. He writes the first sentence: “Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood.”
if you don’t like annabeth chase you better keep that to yourself that shit’s embarrassing
13 y/o annabeth really took a picture of herself and thought oh yeah this is definitely going in the email to percy
me, unprompted: annabeth’s hostility towards rachel really is borne from fear…annabeth has spent the formative years of her childhood being let down by the people closest to her, with the exception of chiron and grover. her mum was never around, her dad neglected her, her stepfamily kicked her out, her best friend sacrificed herself for them, her other friend that she idolised betrayed her and everything they stood for…then she becomes best friends with the ill-fated hero of the prophecy and he sticks around for her for 3 years and she thinks maybe this relationship will stick…until this mortal girl who’s pretty and unproblematic and normal (if not a bit eccentric) comes along and annabeth has had enough of people leaving her and she’s not about to let him go quietly. as soon as rachel isn’t a threat they become best friends.

Happy summer solstice! Here’s a recipe to honour the day:

Cake:
450g plain flour
225g butter
4 tbsp honey
150g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
250 ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Icing:
150g icing sugar
20 ml water
1 tsp cinnamon
As much honey as you want
Lavender (optional)
1. Lay out cake cases or grease your tray if you are making one big cake and preheat your oven to 180C/350F
2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together
3. Add the eggs, honey, butter, milk and vanilla extract and mix until smooth
4. Put the mixture into whatever you are baking it in
5. Bake for 20mins (cupcakes) or 40mins (big cake)

Here’s a 2020 edition of that coffee post — it seems that no matter what I am still all about iced coffee (with oat milk) when I’m writing on hot summer days
