Played around with usopps character design for this one and it was tricky cus I didn’t know what I was gonna do about his nose 💀 but I think the mask is a good alternative

this one’s the best human version for me because call it headcanon if you will but the story doesn’t work if the two of them are (metaphorically) in their early twenties
Banderas was open about how Puss represents his own fear of getting old and being at the end stage of his career and looking at the end of his life approaching in the distance. the two basically adopt a child together.
if you imagine them as being in their late thirties at least, a lot of their behavior(and the choice of having a SIXTY YEAR OLD voice the main character) not only makes more sense but give the movie a very specific meaning
The detail of kitty having no fingers and having prosthetics is so freaking clever- since when you declaw a cat it’s akin to taking away their fingers
