True craftmanship
Wow!!!!
Impressive. @hatesaltrat
When you stop and consider that they didn’t have many power tools 100 years ago it’s even more impressive. “True craftsmanship” is exactly right. Thanks @gibbsracer
Amazing. Being a timberframer I’ve always had respect and appreciation for old school Japanese timber framers. Complex joinery not just basic mortise and tenon.

The long wavelengths of the light spectrum—red, yellow, and orange—can penetrate to approximately 15, 30, and 50 meters (49, 98, and 164 feet), respectively, while the short wavelengths of the light spectrum—violet, blue and green—can penetrate further, to the lower limits of the euphotic zone. Blue penetrates the deepest, which is why deep, clear ocean water and some tropical water appear to be blue most of the time. Moreover, clearer waters have fewer particles to affect the transmission of light, and scattering by the water itself controls color. Water in shallow coastal areas tends to contain a greater amount of particles that scatter or absorb light wavelengths differently, which is why sea water close to shore may appear more green or brown in color.

If you like frogs. Or possums. Or cool builds. Or happiness. This is the video for you.
This happens every day in America. The granny next to you sifting through tomatoes probably has a Glock 19 in that oversized bag on her shoulder she calls a purse. The tatted guy with his family getting milk from the fridge probably has one on his ankle. That 30-something soccer mom pumping gas next to you has hers strapped to her body under the baggy shirt she’s wearing over her sleeveless t-shirt.
I stand behind you in line at the store with a smile on my face and a gun under my shirt and you are none the wiser, yet you are safer for having me next to you. I won’t shoot you. My gun won’t pull it’s own trigger. It is securely holstered with the trigger covered. It can’t just go off.
However, rest assured that if a lunatic walks into the grocery store and pulls out a rifle, I will draw my pistol and protect myself and my family and therefore protect you and your family. I may get shot before I can pull the trigger but, I won’t die in a helpless blubbering heap on the floor begging for my life or my child’s life. No, if I die it will be in a pile of spent shell casings. I won’t be that victim. I choose not to be.
As for you, I don’t ask you to carry a gun. If you are not comfortable, then please don’t. But I would like to keep my right to choose to not be a helpless victim. There is evil in the world and if evil has a gun, I want one too. Be smart don’t blame the guns, blame the people using them.
