Jeff this is not a bad joke
Jeff this is not a joke it’s a prophecy
I am convinced the only reason people work for SpaceX is to make this prophecy a reality

gaining new followers is so embarrassing like hello and welcome, prepare to be disappointed! this is not a place a of honor!
To be fair if people are looking for a place of honour and they came to tumblr I don't know how to tell them
Never forget what they took from us.
For those asking how it compares today
and also
And no the food hasn’t changed a damned bit.
Shoutout to everyone using receipts as bookmarks you’re providing valuable information to future scholars
This reminds me of the Rosa Parks exhibit I went to pre-pandemic where it showed how she saved pretty much every scrap of paper she had to write on so not only do we have tons of her wonderful writing, we also have preserved things like old prescription bags from pharmacies or receipts from stores at the same time. People be saving.
with adhd/autism it's funny like. people will call you weird all your life, people will bully you for your "outlandish" behaviour, people will criticize literally everything you do as "not normal", BUT THE SECOND YOU GET DIAGNOSED (or suggest you might have it) they're like "huh what but you're so normal, you're literally the most normal person I've ever seen, you're literally so normal and absolutely nothing is wrong with you? why would you have that now all of a sudden???"
God Shit OP
I keep telling people this, but SO much of American culture and particularly the ‘Protestant work ethic’ is derived from Calvin’s view that everything in life is predestined by God - that winners and losers are already chosen.
Those Puritan pilgrims who came here seeking ‘religious liberty?’ Hardcore Calvinists who were so obnoxious they were kicked out of their home countries.
And they use this belief to excuse the worst behaviors in American history: Racism, colonialism, genocide, segregation, patriarchy, prejudice against minorities, slavery, economic disparity, low wages, no public healthcare, systems that punish the poor and disabled while rewarding the already wealthy; attempts to impose theocracy and infiltrate democratic institutions to wreck them from within; the constant stream of made-up moral panics; the parochialism and fear of outsiders.
The belief, common among many conservatives, that humans are inherently evil, is why they distrust anything from government that advances the common good and instead praise church-based charity.
I could go on, but just read this.
i was literally about to say this. this shit isn’t new by any means

happy 1st bday to... this.

Happy 2nd anniversary to the Suez Canal blockage!
I told you it would take decades to rectify the damage done by Trump.

The Aussies have a thing or two to learn it would seem.
I’ve never seen an Ostrich look SO offended in my life.
Let’s hear it for unorthodox animal handling skills!
The ostrich is either so offended that it just can’t stand it, or it’s so confused that this other ostrich thing has gone and shapeshifted on it.

This especially irritates me when people say it about kids.
I've learned in the past 4 years that many adults don't actually teach their kids shit about being a human being. What adults see as "common knowledge" they just expect their kids to know, then punish the kid when they don't.
It leads to a lot of mental and emotional distress for child and parent, and by extension teachers or any other adult responsible for the child.
Kids need a lot of attention to develop and grow and be the best they can be, and I don't understand why that's such a hard concept. You want your kid to verbally tell you what's wrong, you have to give him the language tools to express themselves.
You want your kid to clean up after themselves, teach them how to fold clothes, where to put them, how to sort clean from dirty.
Kids don't know how to do these things inherently.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
