We often teach kids to do chores by finding ways to turn them into a game(and also by doing them together and offering positive reinforcement in the form of compliments and encouragement during and after). The thing is, that doesn't just magically stop working once you're an adult. On top of that, way back when most people did hard work in groups, small or large, and we usually talked and sang while doing so, so like, if the only way you can get yourself to do your laundry is to imagine you're a Pikmin or that Master Chief is there cheering you on then imo that's a fantastic coping mechanism that taps into the natural human desire for connection, comradery, and fun that has helped us get through hard work for hundreds of thousands of years.
Fun is not antithetical to hard work. Kill whatever is in your head that thinks suffering is moral and thus hard work must suck for it to count. There's a reason Pokemon Go gets people outside and Pokemon Sleep helps people sleep, it's bcs humans need fun to make life bearable! I know that one post above is a joke but this is like, the opposite of mental illness. It's good, it's normal, do not feel ashamed of Naruto motivating you to brush your teeth.

Also it's incredibly weird to be like "the most powerful bargaining chips shouldn't get involved". Like what is the logic there. The point of a union is that everyone stands up for each other. Why would you not want influential voices and in-demand service providers being on strike and talking about it. It's like if a bunch of soldiers show up to defend a town and people are like "no, they moved away from that town for a while so they shouldn't be on the front lines, they should go away and let the town fend for itself". I do not understand the 'too rich and famous to strike' logic at all.
Sadly, there is a large part of the human race that thinks the goal of life is "amass enough money and power to stop getting fucked and start doing the fucking", and they can't wrap their mind around the concept of someone who isn't getting fucked anymore* caring about the people who are still getting fucked.
*as if Disney didn't deliberately and flagrantly violate their contract with ScarJo. Or Robin Williams, at the height of his career, for that matter. A-listers have stakes in this fight worth millions, and yes, they earned that money.
Even if success did make someone not care about fairness in their industry I don't see why that would matter. Boots on ground is boots on ground. We want practical achievement in securing fair pay and treatment, not a sincerity contest.

Money exists to be spent, not hoarded. Yes, people should have saving, but no one should be sitting on a pile of money too big to spend in a single lifetime. “The economy” as a concept only works if people are spending money, and the people hoarding the money are so quick to blame the people who barely have any when the economy starts to fail
Having a big string of numbers in an offshore account doesnt make you an economic genius, it makes you a parasite that is ruining the economy for everyone else
