Been a while, bit of a life update
Bad news, I was basically permanently disabled by long covid back in 2020, pretty much fell off the face of the earth, but despite everything, I've been working hard in film school, I've been writing and working on music, my life is settling into something a little more permanent, I'll probably be getting back into BB things once I'm in my new place, settled in my new job, etc. I'll admit, the fire in me to create content isn't really in me anymore with regards to Bob's Burgers, but I still enjoy it, and it's still a comforting show for me. It was there during a time of my life that was incredibly stressful, and having this lovely show to fall into was a welcome respite.
Anyway, I'm technically an award winning filmmaker now (technically. I won a judge's choice award at my college's showcase for a short horror film I cowrote and co directed, voice acted in, performed in, composed the music for...), you get the picture.
It's been a tough road, I suffered covid-related brain damage equivalent to a minor stroke (and there's a non zero chance that that may actually be what it was... I didnt go to the doctor at the time because I kept forgetting) which completely rewired the way my memory works, the way I process time, my personality, the way I speak, think, draw, etc. There's no 'back to normal' for me, all I can do is continue to help my new brain improve, and thankfully it has. My autoimmune disorder has also been made worse, but luckily it's manageable, I just flare up from time to time.
I'll be getting my own place with my partner, who I've known for about 6 years now. I literally met the person I'm going to marry because of this show (something I actually got to mention to Eugene Mirman when I bumped into him while waiting for a ride after a show. Long story). Specifically uh, I reached out to this person like "so I heard you like Calvin Fischoeder" and it just... took off from there. He made the move to Texas, and while space is tight right now, we're very happy together. I even got to visit my future in-laws over the holidays, and my parents have been unexpectedly accepting.
