I have been thinking about Six again.

I think we need to talk more about how much Six cares about Mono, not the other way around. It is undoubtable that Mono does care about her, but Six has a very reserved way of expressing her affection for him, which is why it mostly flies under the radar of most people imo.

The way she follows after him, steadily but surely, just as determined to remain by his side as he is, should not be ignored at all. Mono may grab her hand first, but even if he doesn't, everywhere he goes, she will follow. In the first half of the game, where Six doesn't nearly trust him as much as she does later on, Mono's small gesture of kindness during their first meeting is incredibly impactful to her.

When she was alone and afraid, scared for her life, Mono held his hand out for her to hold at her own pace. Though Six rejects him initially, she's quick to realize that two pairs of hands are better than one after all. You'd assume she only allied with him out of convenience, and while it was most definitely a factor, Mono's gentleness was what drew her to him initially.

From this point on, you can choose to hold her hand at any point in time, indicating that Mono is prone to randomly grab her hand to keep her close. As said, this is not necessary: Six will follow closely after regardless of wheter he does so or not. However, this gesture remained engrained in her mind, and this is proven later on.

After the Hunter ran after them for the first time, Six offers her hand to him.

Though she's not keen on physical contact, as she will never offer her hand again to him first, she is empathetic enough to understand that Mono is scared and needs comfort, so she does something she knows will make him feel safe.

Then of course, there is her playful answers to his calls; though she's not really a talkative one, she won't refuse a conversation if Mono speaks to her. Until you start noticing that whenever Mono grabs a a toy like he needs to do in the School or in the Hospital, Six also will run to grab one. If Mono throws it away, she also throws her own away.

Isn't imitation the biggest form of flattery?

Even later, when she gets the raincoat and is more confident and fast, Six still takes the time to wait for her best friend. From her behaviour towards him, it seems to me that she holds a silent, but considerable amount of admiration in his regard; sorta like a young kid who copies everything their older friend does - which is what would happen in this dynamic since Mono is (apparently) older than her.

I also think we as a fandom have been ignoring that she's been helping him deal with the TVs pretty much ever since they met. She had the chance to run away and leave Mono behind, but she never does. The only time she actually runs off is when Mono frees the Thin Man, and even then she waits until the last possible minute before sprinting away.

Her trust in Mono is unmatched. So is the affection she holds for him. It's shown in a different way, but it's there and it's very present. It makes sense that Mono, who has always been shunned and pushed away, would grab onto her (both physically and metaphorically) as much as he does.

... Which is what makes the ending hurt the most.

a/n: happy halloween !! i know it's been a while but hopefully this long ass story makes up for it. please don't cancel me for this, i'm not immune to the charm of a 25 year old slasher film. let me know what you think !

Six minutes and fifty-two seconds.

According to some remarkably arbitrary article you skimmed through in a mediocre issue of Teen Beat, it takes the average person six minutes and fifty-two seconds to determine which movie they’re going to watch.

In six minutes and fifty-two seconds you can brew half a pot of particularly unpalatable coffee in your kitchen. You can listen to your favourite Jeff Buckley song with eight seconds to spare, or drain a teeming glass of water.

Six minutes and fifty-two seconds is also the precise duration of time in which you’ve managed to evade the knife-wielding psychopath who’s killing your friends for sport.

Slashers: *calls Y/N* sweetie it’s time to come home.

Y/n: *to kidnappers* I have to go

Kidnapper: no you can’t

Y/n: they said no

Slasher: you either come home or I’m coming to get you!

Y/n: *looks at the kidnapper* uh oh…. We’re in trouble

Kidnapper: um what?

where’s that analysis about infantilisation of women in straight couples

My Unpopular Attack On Titan Opinions

Note: Please understand that the following are my PERSONAL opinions (some might be controversial facts), I've already heard both sides of the arguments. I'm just sharing what I think, it's completely fine if you don't agree, just don't start any arguments with me please lol

Manga Spoilers!!

1. Zeke's plan was better

-Both plans would have let Paradis live on for around a hundred years and would've eliminated the titan powers

-1.3B (Mostly innocents + Children) wouldn't have had to die

-Many Eldians died in Paradis anyway (Because of the Military turning into titans and the damage of the wall titans emerging from walls Maria, Rose and Sina)

-Marley wouldn't remain in so much power because they would've lost their titan powers too

2. Grisha gets too much hate

-People tend to forget that he had also had a very crappy childhood, his parents brainwashed him about how Eldians were devils and such

-His little sister died because he wanted to go where they weren't allowed (He most likely blames himself)

-He was betrayed by his son (who he himself has abused)

-His first wife turned into a mindless titan in front of him

-He was given a heavy burden (the attack titan) and a critical mission to a land he only heard stories about (Paradis)

-He tried to be a better father to Eren but he believed his duty was important

-He lost his second wife and got eaten by his son

-Eren was the one who convinced him to kill the Reiss family (Including innocent children)

-He apologized to Zeke in the end (Something he rarely see bad parents to to their children)

3. It's okay to ship Historia and Ymir with Men

-Historia & Ymir's sexualities weren't confirmed, they could be bi or pan, so it's completely fine to ship them with men or to not like their ship in general

-Many other characters are shipped with characters that oppose their sexualities but no one minds

-It being an official ship is not a factor (Ex: People disliking Aruani is fine)

-You don't have to like those ships but they are valid

-You should only "Hate" on a ship is if it's toxic and/or illegal

4. Hange's gender is up to the reader so stop "Correcting" people

-This has been confirmed by Isayama, you can't be wrong about her gender unless you're "correcting" others

-When Isayama said to use "He" & "She" equally, he was talking about what he said to his team, the fans can do whatever they want. He wanted his team to use the pronouns equally to keep up the mystery.

5. Levi x Hange is the closest non-canon relationship to being canon

Check out my previous posts for this one

Thank you for listening to my rant! No hate if you disagree this is just what I think/believe

i agree with some of these, but def not ymir and historia. i don’t care if they’re not explicitly stated to be lesbians, wlw RARELY get representation that’s not heavily fetishised or otherwise poorly represented, especially not in anime, so it’s like… ugh, why do straight people need everything to be about them?

and headcanoning a character as gay ( whether or not they’re said to be gay in canon ) isn’t at all the same as erasing a character’s gayness, the same way that whitewashing is bad but recasting characters as lesser represented minorities isn’t, or headcanoning a character is autistic is fine, but erasing a character’s autism is not. people who don’t get a lot of good representation tend to find it pretty annoying when others try to twist our representation to make it about Them, because literally everything else is already about them. there are so many characters in aot, you Have to take the one gay couple and ship them with men? dude.

Portrayals of Ghostface are like ā€œOmg he’s obsessed with Sidney!ā€ when the only killer to have been with her romantically was Billy and he was just ā€œbabe get over ur mom’s death that I caused and have sex with me ):ā€ is so funny to me

me when i have 0 media literacy šŸ¤ž

anyway, being obsessed w someone ≠ romantic or sexual attraction, helloooo? each ghostface was obsessed with sidney in some way or another ( aside from the instances of one being involved for the person they love, ie stu with billy or charlie with jill, but even then… i never cared enough about charlie to really look into his character, but i’m def not gonna say stu Only did it for billy, he absolutely already had the desire to kill, and billy wanting to kill sidney & roping him into it was a perfect outlet ); jill, who wanted the fame that sidney had which grew into an obsession that led her to want to kill sid.

same scenario with roman pretty much, although his also had to do with their mother abandoning him, and also ofc him wanting to make his movie.

mrs loomis who became fixated on killing sidney after learning of billy’s death. i’d say Maybe mickey wasn’t as obsessed with sidney, and more so with the idea of being an ā€œimmortalizedā€ serial killer, but he also wanted specifically to kill sidney of all people because of the fame surrounding her.

richie and amber are pretty self explanatory, but then again, All of these are pretty self explanatory so idk how the point flew over your head to begin with.

i’m thinking about a fic where the main character is a rogue avenger ( post civil war ), injured and separated from their team after an ambush where they’re hit with strange, power-stunting bullets. unable to use their powers or heal themself, they’re struggling to keep it together, and end up coming across our very own steven grant— who, of course, expresses concern at seeing this person literally bleeding out and looking like they’re about to drop dead. naturally, main character can’t just go to the fucking hospital, so they instead request that steven takes them to his place where they can fix themself up. steven would hesitate, but he cant just let them Die, and they wont go to the hospital, so he kinda has no choice but to agree— anyway, that’s basically the opening plot. i think it’d be kinda fun, should i write it?

so what are yall gna say now?? if they’re perfectly capable of making gifs— recoloring and all— then what do they gain from stealing??? and AGAIN, considering the fact that yall are talking about super popular scenes, it’s a bit ridiculous.

ao3 stannies be like ā€œyeah i know that ao3 is full of blatant and often violent racism, hate speech, porn of real life people (sometimes real life minors), romanticization of rape, actual pedophiles, queerphobia of all kinds, and so forth and so on BUT it really should have zero moderation whatsoever. don’t you know that banning racism and pedos is a slippery slope to banning lgbt content because those two are exactly the same???ā€
