for this year’s merlin tribute, i bring you: i’m sad! (8 years in, still going strong)
[ID: a two-page comic based on bbc merlin. the first page has two panels, and is set during season 2, “the fires of idirsholas”. in the first panel, merlin and arthur are leaning against the door of the throne room, sweaty and exhausted, but smiling at each other. the second panel is a close-up of merlin’s eyes, watching arthur. between the two panels is a line of dialogue from arthur: “if i need a servant in the next life…”.
the second page has three panels. the first panel is a close-up of merlin’s eyes again, but from a different time. he looks out towards the viewer in horror, and tears are welling up. the second and third panels are a slow pan of merlin holding up arthur’s body from the end of season 5, “the diamond of the day - part two”. merlin’s hands cover arthur’s wound, but blood still seeps out through arthur’s chainmail. arthur’s face is blacked out with a scribble, and a tear falls from merlin’s eye. below the three panels is merlin’s answering dialogue from “the fires of idirsholas”: “don’t ask me.” end ID.]
Flowers for Merlin I know the request @emriz86 was hurt/comfort Merthur where Merlin is sick and Arthur is worried/tending him but somehow… this happened xD what should I say, the boys do what they want, haha! Counterpart to sick!arthur :)
