Me watching two characters in a modern tv show have sex: Huh okay

Me watching two characters in a period drama let the backs of their hands lightly brush in a moment of emotional intimacy so intense they can’t meet each others’ eyes:

⚔ . . #viking #vikings #vikinglife #vikinglovers #vikingtattoo #vikingstyle #vikingseason6 #ragnar #ragnarlothbrok #thor #odin #pagan #norse #valhalla #floki #vikingsofinstagram #king #tvseries #historyvikings #kattegat #runes #norsemythology #vikingbeard #travisfimmel #lagertha #ubbe #bjornironside #ivartheboneless #ubba

1. Kjetill is going to try and kill Ubbe because he wants to be King of Iceland and I am NOT happy about this. I want this man dead for what he did to Floki but he’s a sneaky little jerk and is fooling EVERYONE. If he kills Ubbe I will NOT be pleased. If UBBE DIES IN A WAY THAT I FEEL DISRESPECTS HIS CHARACTER (one of the only redeemable, kind characters on this damn show) I WILL PERSONALLY NEVER WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN. And that’s just how I feel.

2. Bjorn and his hoe ways have officially annoyed me to the point where I would like nothing more than to smack the snot out of him. This man REALLY wants to be Ragnar and at this point I’m just like “okay.”

3. Hvitserk isn’t going to die in the woods. He’s coming back at some point to attack Ivar. You know, I know it. He’s been saying it is his destiny and even though he high out of his mind, I believe it.

4. Ivar is going to kill Oleg SLOWLY. Listen, you can only push a reformed crazy man so far before they snap. When Ivar does snap, he’s going to reign HELL on this man. I won’t be surprised if it’s some super poetic way to kill him either. Ivar a poetic psycho.

I’ve been reading tweets, posts and Instagram comments about Lagertha’s death and I don’t understand how people hated her death? We knew a son of Ragnar would be the one to kill her but we didn’t know how or when.

“You will accomplish what others before you have failed to accomplish,” - The Seer. “But the cost will be too high!”

“If I sailed away now would it be different?” - Hvitserk.  “You can try,” - the Seer.

Interesting choice of words spoke by the Seer. If you remember back to the battle against Ivar and Lagertha. Ivar tells Ubbe that he will kill Lagertha. “You can try,” Lagertha responds.  It was foreshadowed that Hvitserk would be the one to kill Lagertha but Hvisterk believed that his destiny is to kill Ivar bc that’s what he took from the seer’s prophecy but his real destiny was to kill Lagertha.

If we look back through the previous seasons, the Seer speaks in riddles and never gives anyone who visits him a straight answer to their questions. Ragnar, Rollo, Lagertha, and Bjorn. If you watch the deleted scene where Ragnar is traveling in his death cage, he talks with the “seer” and mentions Lagertha and the miscarriage she had.

“Your so-called prophecies are dangerous,” Ragnar said. “By telling Lagertha that she would never have another child. Yet, she got pregnant but then because of your words she put her unborn baby in danger. So what if she didn’t hear your words? What if she thought her baby would survive? She would’ve rested and protected it and now maybe she would be the proud mother of a healthy child. Something she’s always wanted more than anything. See, you presented her a destiny where she manifested it.”  I think Lagertha’s death was poetic and I couldn’t imagine a better death for her. She fought fighting her people and village. She fought for the memory of those who died fighting to protect it including Hali. She fought to protect Asa and the other shieldmaidens. She fought bravely and desperately and showed that that is the kind of woman and shieldmaiden she is and always has been.
