23, she/her. Artist, animator, writer, cat lover, cheese expert, and metalhead 😸🤘🎸 check out my art blog @meowtalheadart, my music blog @beartoothbarry, my warrior cats blog @firestardoesntlikewafflestar, and my guild wars 2 blog @cindermetalheadgw2 too!

Finally (mostly) finished! (still have to design his tattoos, he's supposed to have a sleeve on his left arm but I can't do that until I write more of the story so I'm done with this one for now) this is Easton, one of the main characters of a project I'm working on about a band that goes on tour and discovers a bunch of supernatural mysteries at the shows they play. It's kind of like Scooby Doo, Gravity Falls, or MBAV with an adult target audience and some horror mixed in. Easton is the bass player in the currently unnamed band and the one who's afraid of ghosts and demons. His motorcycle gets possessed by a demon horse named Kevin

i always forget my grandma used to be a clown so it caught me the fuck off guard when she saw this

and no hesitation saying “oh it’s that creepy clown- oh he’s drinking that’s against clown code”

1. ARE YOU NOT GOING TO EXPLAIN YOUR GRANDMA’S PAST CLOWN CAREER? 2. WHAT’S CLOWN CODE??????????????

Clown code.

I call a lot of y'all clowns but it turns out that’s too good for you since even they live by a code.

My grandmother didn’t allow her clowns to participate in a PSA back in the 80s because it would have violated The Code. They got actors to scab the roles anyway. My father long resented to loss of Ad revenue and publicity, but my grandmother was the sort of lady who would not sacrifice the dignity of the Clown for any price. Remarkable woman. It’s an open question as to how much the whole debacle contributed to the closure of her Clown College, but I suspect she wanted out of the game by then regardless.

NYC Data Stories: Allyship

For when people say they’re sick of seeing gay stuff everywhere. Suck it up. 4 years. 4 years. And that’s just on the books, it’s legal. It doesn’t stop shitty attitudes, actions, or straight up violence.

Everyone needs a picture of J. G. Hertzler (Martok) holding a gay bat'leth on their dash

Chancellor Martok said gay rights, rb if u agree

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of decoden and polymer clay questions about what to use to as a gloss/glaze. Almost every time the first response is “Clear nail polish, duh!”.

This needs to stop if people want to be creating quality items. Sometimes I’m afraid to buy handmade things for fear that they have been sealed with clear nail polish and they will deteriorate over time. I want to buy things that will last!

I’ve reblogged this before - but it’s sooooo important. crafting signal boost

Oh jeez, I didn’t even know that was a thing. No - never use nail polish thats a horrible idea.

Non-Natives reblogging this are great and wonderful

Please remember that "land back" does not mean "indigenous people are mystical elves with innate epigenetic wisdom of land stewardship and they don't belong in big cities," nor does it mean "non-indigenous people can't be farmers." What it DOES mean is that "non-indigenous farmers should be paying the equivalent of property taxes to the native governments their land was stolen from." It means, "there's a great deal of indigenous scholarship on sustainable agricultural practices that farmers should be taking into account, because indigenous agriculture was more advanced than European agriculture at the time Europe invaded the Americas and western agriculture *still* hasn't caught up in terms of figuring out how to produce equivalently high crop yields without compromising the ecosystem." It means, "non-indigenous farmers should be in an intellectual discourse with indigenous agricultural scientists and indigenous peoples that still do traditional farming, figuring how to repair the damage western farming practices have done to the ecosystem."

It also means that indigenous peoples should regain the right to sustain themselves on the land according to the practices they want, and they should have free reign to perform their cultural practices and protect their holy sites, as opposed to the current model where if they try to honor their dead on public lands they get violently removed.
